"Malbrough s'en va-t-en guerre" is a french folk song written after the battle of Malplaquet in 1709 during the war of Spanish Succession. The song is about the supposed death of the Duke of Malborough. A fake rumor that helped to cheer the morale of the French soldiers in this hard time of war. The song is currently known as one of the most famous french nursery rhyme.
