Our community is experiencing fear and trauma. There are reports of violence and immigration enforcement activities that have shaken the sense of safety for many. Nervous systems are on high alert. These are natural responses to what we're experiencing together.

In the midst of all this, Walk-In remains what it has always been: an open door.

We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support.
Professionals have reached out offering to volunteer. Community members have donated. People are asking how they can help. This response shows what our community looks like when we take care of each other—and it matters more than we can express.

For over 55 years, we've been here through community crises of all kinds. We will continue to be here—providing free, anonymous, immediate counseling support when people need it most.

We need your help to meet this moment.

  • Counseling Compact (MN joined with AZ, OH): counselingcompact.gov

New Volunteers Welcome
Our volunteer terms run January-April, May-August, and September-December. We need:

  • Counselors (licensed or pursuing licensure)
  • Team Consultants (licensed professionals providing clinical leadership)
  • Receptionists (all backgrounds welcome)
  • Advanced Placement Interns (master's/doctoral students)
