‘9-1-1’
"9-1-1" is a first-responder drama co-created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear. The show follows the team at Los Angeles' Station 118 as they navigate wild emergency calls and their personal lives. The 20th Century TV-produced series debuted in January 2018 on Fox, and aired its first six seasons on that network before being picked up by ABC for Season 7 in 2023. (20th Century TV was acquired from Fox by ABC parent company Disney in March 2019, paving the way for that later network transition for "9-1-1"). ABC renewed "9-1-1" for an upcoming eighth season after the successful launch of Season 7 in Spring 2024. While Connie Britton was the lead for Season 1, she exited "9-1-1" in the first finale and the show's current starring cast includes Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Oliver Stark, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Guzman, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi and Gavin McHugh. "9-1-1" spurred spinoff "9-1-1: Lone Star" starring Rob Lowe, which debuted on Fox in January 2020 and is set to air its fifth season in September 2024.
