We believe in equal access to life-changing education, globally.
Talent and potential are evenly distributed around the world, but access to opportunity is not. Specifically, access to world-class education is limited by financial means.
This is particularly true in emerging markets where many families don't have the income or collateral to support the education aspirations of the next generation of global leaders.
We lend internationally based on your future potential. You can travel across the world to get a top-tier master's degree - without worrying about collateral or a co-signer.
Why go with Prodigy Finance?

I am taking a two-year master program and took my first-year loan through Prodigy. Then when I applied for the second year (which they conditionally approved before), the process was smooth and I got matched, paid my $500 fee and received my unconditional confirmation letter.
However, I then read on their website that they will not fund students outside of India anymore and I have emailed them to check. They have assured me that my application was okay and it wouldn't be affected by the new "terms", and that my loan agreement would be issued 4 weeks before my second year's start date. But they changed my application status to "On Hold".
Later on, when I emailed to check for the application status, they replied that they couldn't provide me with the loan anymore, and my application was cancelled!
Now I am lost and cannot fund my further study anymore, all my time in the last year has been a waste! They keep advertising for new loans but they should prioritise students who are in the middle of their study (which Prodigy has funded half of them).

A simple loan application filled with constant stress and follow-up. Started my application 3 months back, completed all formalities including the video kyc, still the loan agreement hasn’t happened. They could improve.

My loan application with Prodigy Finance was one of the most disappointing and frustrating experiences I’ve ever had with any company.
I applied for a loan in April 2025, and it was approved in May. I paid the $500 processing fee on June 2 and received my Loan Confirmation Letter. Then I was told that because my home country wasn’t on their whitelist, I had to travel to the Netherlands (where my master’s program is) before signing the Loan Agreement. At that point, there were no pending tasks on my portal, so I assumed everything was on track.
In July, once my travel plans were finalized, I contacted Prodigy to confirm next steps only to find out that my application had been withdrawn on July 4, without any warning or notification. I never received a single alert before my application was canceled.
What followed were two months of endless emails asking for reinstatement. A lot of AI-generated replies, with no real help. Meanwhile, my master program had already started, and I had relocated abroad without paying my tuition, waiting for Prodigy to resolve the issue. On September 26, they finally informed me that my application would not be reinstated. That was the end of it.
It honestly feels like both my money and my time were stolen at the very moment I needed support the most. Prodigy claims to help students access education funding, but in my experience, they took my $500 fee and left me stranded.

I had one of the most disappointing and distressing experiences of my life with Prodigy Finance. I applied for a student loan to support my studies in the UK. My loan was approved in June 2025, and I paid the required $500 processing and funds reservation fee, fully believing this meant the funds were secured for my studies.
I proceeded with my UK student visa application relying entirely on the loan approval letter Prodigy Finance issued. At no point did they inform me that the loan had been withdrawn in July, I only discovered this when UK Visas and Immigration contacted Prodigy during their checks, and Prodigy informed them my loan was no longer valid. This directly led to my visa being refused on financial grounds.
I had completed all the required steps, and the only thing left was to sign the final agreement upon arrival in my country of study as stated in their own policy. Instead of notifying me of any issue, Prodigy Finance silently withdrew the loan, causing me financial loss and disruption of my study plans.
This is not an isolated incident. I have since come across several other students who faced the same issue, with their loans being suddenly withdrawn without notice, leaving them stranded at a critical time in their visa and academic journey. For a company that claims to support international students, this behavior is irresponsible and unacceptable.
I’ve raised a formal complaint, but the damage has already been done. Losing a study opportunity after going through months of preparation because of Prodigy Finance’s negligence is something no student should have to face.
If you are an international student considering them, please be extremely cautious. Their lack of transparency and communication can cost you your entire study plan.

I applied for a student loan from Prodigy in mid June for my program beginning in the Fall. I was told when beginning this process that I should expect to receive a final response within a few weeks. Instead, I waited over a month for my verification, and another in the purgatory that was the matching stage. After failing to meet the deadline they told me they’d respond to me by, they recently informed me that all their available funds had been allocated.
Prodigy offered no transparency into my file’s progress while I waited. If they were overwhelmed with applications this season and had no funds available for people who applied when I did, couldn’t they have told us sooner? I had to secure alternative funding for my first semester, but as several recent reviews here show, that option was not available to many international students pursuing their dreams. I truly feel for them. This process has been opaque and poorly managed. If you choose to pursue a student loan with this company, please be aware of this risk going forward.
I would still like to work with Prodigy for the rest of my educational funding. I understand you received an overwhelming volume of applications and were limited in what you could do. Your customer service officers were very kind every time I managed to reach them. But in the future, please communicate such difficulties with applicants sooner. I’m really hoping this funding can pan out for the January term if I apply now. All I kindly ask is that you reconsider my file as soon as possible, and that you let me know if I should expect to have to look elsewhere again.

Working with this company has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. I’ve had a loan with them for over 5 years, and despite paying an extra 5–10% every month, those payments have never been applied toward the principal. Instead, they hold the money in some kind of “reserve,” which means my balance never goes down and the interest just keeps piling up. Now they’ve started charging an additional fee just for debit deposits, making the situation even worse. If I had known this before, I would have chosen a different lender. I strongly recommend looking for better options elsewhere.

Prodigy as it has somehow completely changed its entire process and brought in unnecessary complex administrative work. I cannot stress how much prodigy has changed since last year.
First there was a significant delay in the funding match. Then, I was FORCED to 500$ (an amount I wasn't required to pay for the first year loan). Isnt the 2.5k USD charged as administration enough for you guys? Then, I was FORCED to open a Zolve account? Why? I have literally linked my Chase account for the repayment. Then why the hell on earth was I FORCED to open a Zolve account? Now, I am asked to complete a KYC for which I haven't received any link yet. WHY IS KYC REQUIRED for a second year student?
Why the HELL am I asked to put in the amount of disbursement? Last year, it was between my University and Prodigy. The process was seamless from the student's perspective. I am never ever going to recommend prodigy to anyone ever.
No Good Regards For Poor Customer Service,

Back in May, I've applied for a loan for my upcoming MBA at the University of Oxford, was accepted and successfully matched to funding. I've signed the loan agreement and was told I was set and I should do nothing and wait until September to go to campus and sign one more document to have my funds transferred to the school.
I got in touch with the team yesterday to arrange that signing and they told me that my loan has been withdrawn because they apparently sent emails to all students asking if they still wanted the loan, and withdrew the ones that didn't reply!!
When I checked, there's no email, no communication, nothing whatsoever, and there are hundreds of people on Reddit whove had their loans withdrawn for zero reason and without even being notified
The team at Prodigy Finance, please please help me, I'm about to start my masters at Oxford Uni in two weeks and I can't go if my loan doesn't get sorted! This is incredibly important for me and my career, so I implore you to please fix this so I can attend my school.
Thank you. I look forward to hearing back. I trust your credibility and sincerity, and know we can fix this somehow.
