What is OKA all about? Simply put, it’s a love affair with living well. Since the very beginning, we’ve been on a mission to create things that make time spent with friends and family more memorable. We believe that’s the secret to living beautifully: enjoying it. OKA started small, with three women bringing unique designs from the Far East to shoppers in the West. Lady Annabel Astor, a serial entrepreneur on a mission to find special items to decorate her holiday home with, invited two friends along: her sister-in-law Sue Jones, whose decorating pedigree included stints at Jasper Conran and Colefax and Fowler, and Lucinda Waterhouse, a skilled horticulturist whose company made exquisite faux flowers. Together they set out to create a catalogue of charming home upgrades. From the start, the OKA team has called on talented artisans from all over the world to bring its ideas to life. Our furniture and homewares prioritise beauty, comfort and style, but we choose items for their integrity, not because they fit a prescribed look. The magic of OKA is the mix: hand-picked global treasures, rich textures and patterns, and timeless furniture profiles. It’s ever-changing but unwaveringly British; elegant and easy-going; sophisticated but never stiff. And our name? OKA is a phonetic take on ochre, a colour that nods to the East, yet feels innately British. A blend of cultures and aesthetics working in perfect harmony, which is at the heart of everything we do. Building on over two decades of collections, 13 experiential stores in the UK, a website, and an ideas-packed magazine, we’ve become a destination for lovers of home, season after season. Misleading photo

I ordered this cushion cover from a picture where it looked like a dull red. When it arrived the more revealing description would have been brown. I'm returning it having had an easily accessible and helpful and exchange with Customer Services. This is the first time I've received anything from you I've been other than delighted with.

Really happy with our 4 new cushion…

Really happy with our 4 new cushion covers from OKA. They look like and are quality. We ordered online and the delivery was speedy.
Prior to ordering we went in to the Knutsford store to view the item. Two members of staff present, one was friendly and helpful, but, the assistant manager, Louisa, was neither of those things and we felt that we didn’t want to give her the business.

Customer service is woefully inadequate…

Customer service is woefully inadequate as calls go unanswered and customers are abruptly cut off. Chelsea store never answer their phone.

A very poor first experience with OKA

This review relates to the Knutsford store. I initially emailed the store to enquire about a ceiling light that was showing as out of stock online but appeared to be available in-store. I received no response, so I contacted customer services by phone. The advisor confirmed the store had two in stock and transferred me to the store directly, but no one answered. I left a voicemail requesting a call back, which was never returned.
I then called the store myself to ask if the light could be shipped, as I live too far away to collect. A junior member of staff took my call and said she needed to check with her manager, as the light might not be in its original packaging. When she came back, I was simply told they could not help because the item was discontinued, with no further explanation or attempt to offer an alternative solution.
I don’t understand why an item that was confirmed as being in stock could not be shipped just because it is discontinued.
As a potential new customer, I found this lack of communication and effort extremely disappointing. This was a very poor first experience.

To provide some context, the lights in question were ex-display items that had already been installed in store, with wiring cut and original packaging removed. As a result, they were no longer in a sellable condition and could not be shipped. Unfortunately, this was not clearly explained at the time, and the information provided to you was therefore unclear.

We also acknowledge that we should have made a greater effort to explain the situation fully and to offer support in identifying a suitable alternative, and we regret that this did not happen.

OKA Adict.

It was my first time visiting the OKA Marlborough branch yesterday and on such a miserable wet dark day I just want to give the staff recognition for being so positive so helpful in the most genuine way from a customer point of view!
Thank you!!! Without a male on duty to assist the ladies with heavier purchases they were swift and efficient in getting my table ready for us to take home even making sure to leave us with the Allan key to reassemble it when we got home.
Bethany and Debbie thank you! One might say they’re just doing their job but it’s bigger than that! Customer service is the most inportant part of any job so thank you ladies for all your help! We will be back!!!
