We have had a number of issues with Biffa. The absolute take the mick is the 12 month contract that is actually a 15 month contract. If like us you choose not to renew, they require 90 days notice in a set time window and the 90 days notice starts AFTER the 12 month contract is up. So the 12 month contract you are signing is a 15 month contract. Any early termination is punished with a 41% fee of the total contract. In decades of business I have never come across such a ridiculous underhand way of doing business.

This company is full of bullshit
My bin has not been collected in December. When I said I wanted to leave, I couldn't because they automatically signed me up for another year. Why? Because it's in their terms and conditions. You still get charged for those collections. I wanted to leave, but their cancellation team said they would improve things, and so on. Fine.
Now, in February, my bin hasn't been collected again for three weeks. I'm calling them, and it's the same thing: "It's in our terms and conditions." So, basically, you pay them for nothing. You can't leave; you will still get charged even though your bin won't get collected.

This is by far the worst experience we have received from a commercial entity. We have been waiting since September 25 to get the service for mixed waste and recycling collected. We have signed contracts and had money debited. We have put in more than a dozen calls to Customer service and spoken to as many individuals, all of which have promised the collection would happen that day or the next. We have sent photos of the area, which have been printed and handed to the driver (apparently). We have pushed for one person to own the problem, but protocols prevent middle management from owning the issue. We are currently waiting for one "manager', one voice, to see this through. As of today, we are still battling - if they didn't have a Monopoly on the area (Farnham) we would have been long gone . . . .

If my father in law hadn’t died I wouldn’t be involved in this. He was a loyal customer for many years and we only stayed with Biffa because my wife was so distressed having to run his company when he was very ill and then in a nursing home.
Still being pursued by Biffa for ridiculous end of contract charges. When I called them about access times to the site last year they said they would update their system but did not. The bin men kept coming when the site was closed and then Biffa billed is for the non collection!
Still not sorted with Biffa. I even emailed the CEO (michael.topham at biffa.co.uk) (not allowed to use actual email address) it seems to no effect. I suggested that he look at the Trustpilot reviews - I don’t know whether or not he did as I haven’t had a reply. It seems odd to me that the 1 star reviews (not possible to give no stars) are quite detailed yet many of the 5 star reviews are very short, one liners sometimes, very odd !
If our experience is anything to go by, If you use Biffa, expect a slick sales team and dreadful after care and customer service. I don’t blame the employees. They are just trying to do what Biffa managers expect of them.
I’m fuming you might be able to tell.
BBC Watchdog will be my next option.

Looks like Biffa have deleted my previous review which is convenient for them isn’t it. They show up at 7am banging around making a whole load of noise, waking the whole street up, blaring out “VEHICLE REVERSING” in a cul-de-sac where you could hear a pin drop. Every Monday I have the worst sleep after getting in at 5am, woken up at 7 by Biffa then cannot get back to sleep. Lived here 20+ years and Biffa are ruining my life. And no I’m not providing my name and postcode to you I already did that when I called you and you offered no resolve.

Be careful of your cars!
A few months ago, my father’s car was badly hit outside his home. He needed new door due to a scrape that went the entire way through the metal. After sorting the insurance, he received correspondence from Biffa to say they were responsible which I thought was great of them. He went through the whole process and the insurance were happy with the fact that fault had been claimed. Until this week when my dad is told their insurance is refusing to pay and he will likely have to go to court to settle the claim. My dad is retired but he is a volunteer driver for his local hospice respite care team. He had to cancel transport for several people who will have missed out on respite care due to their negligence and they now don’t even have the decency to settle an insurance claim. Awful company with zero morals.

New customer. Bin delivered without notice. Filthy condition with an inch of water in it. Cant find out when collection will be. Wont reply to emails. Hopeless.
