🌍 Reflections from ZDHC Impact Day 2025 Attending the ZDHC Impact Day together with my colleague was both inspiring and energising. The conversations, data, and innovations shared reaffirmed how far we’ve come in embedding safer chemistry across global supply chains—and how much farther we can go, together. 🔬 The Quantis report revealed concrete proof: Substituting hazardous chemicals actually reduces freshwater toxicity Wastewater tiering (Foundational to Aspirational) directly improves environmental outcomes Air emissions management cuts harmful VOCs, protecting both ecosystems and worker health 🏆 Kudos to the brands that have gone beyond compliance to become true Champions of ZDHC. From embedding the MRSL into sourcing, training suppliers on InCheck and Gateway, to showcasing leadership through Detox Fashion Radar—this is what systemic change looks like. 🧰 New tools and directions from ZDHC give us even more to look forward to: Launch of the Commodity Chemical Guide v1.0 Air Emissions Guidelines and alignment with Solvents Guidance A new version of StZ - StZ 2.0 A bold push into cross-industry adoption beyond fashion 📊 From the ZDHC Impact Report: Over 9,000 wastewater test results in the Gateway Measurable improvements in human and ecosystem health The world’s largest cleaner chemistry database keeps growing A clear roadmap for scaling to leather, fibre, and beyond The science is clear.
