Ang PlayStation 5 (PS5) ay isang home video game console na binuo ng Sony Interactive Entertainment. Inanunsyo ito bilang successor sa PlayStation 4 noong Abril 2019, at inilabas ito noong Nobyembre 12, 2020, sa Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Hilagang Amerika, at Timog Korea, Disyembre 11, 2020 sa Pilipinas at inilabas ito sa buong mundo ng mga isang linggo.

Kasama sa base model ang isang optical disc drive na compatible sa mga Ultra HD Blu-ray disc. Ang Digital Edition ay hindi kasama ang drive na ito, bilang isang mas murang modelo para sa pagbili ng mga laro sa pamamagitan lamang ng pag-download. Ang dalawang variant ay inilabas ng sabay. Pinalitan ng mga slimmer hardware revision ng parehong modelo mula sa orihinal na modelo na ibinebenta noong Nobyembre 2023. Pinaplano ng Sony na ilabas ang PlayStation 5 Pro na modelo sa Nobyembre 7, 2024, na nagtatampok ng mas mabilis na GPU, pina-improve na ray tracing, at ini-introduce ang AI-driven upscaling na teknolohiya.

Kasama sa mga pangunahing feature ng hardware ng PlayStation 5 ang isang solid-state drive na pwedeng i-customize para sa high-speed data streaming upang paganahin ang improvements sa storage performance, isang AMD GPU na may kakayahang mag-display ng 4K na resolusyon hanggang sa 120 frame rate per second, hardware-accelerated ray tracing para mukhang totoo ang mga lightning at repleksyon, at ang Tempest Engine para sa hardware-accelerated 3D audio effects. Kasama sa iba pang mga feature ang DualSense controller na may haptic feedback, backward compatibility sa PlayStation 4 at PlayStation VR na mga laro, at ang PlayStation VR2 headset.
