Uganda women’s national team head coach, Sheryl Botes, has officially named a 20-player squad for the upcoming 2025 CECAFA Women’s Championship, set to take place from June 12 to 21 at the Azam Complex in Chamazi, Tanzania.

Botes, who continues to build her legacy with the Crested Cranes, opted for a squad largely comprised of locally based players, with just one foreign-based inclusion, winger Margret Kunihira of Tanzanian side Caessia Queens.

The squad will assemble on Sunday, June 8, for the final preparations before flying out to Tanzania on Tuesday, June 10. Uganda enters the tournament as the defending champions, having lifted the title in 2022 on home soil.
