The Transformers cartoon
- Voice actor: Casey Kasem (English), Kōki Kataoka (Japanese), Albert Augier (European French)
The stylish man was hanging out at Dancitron when Tracks and Blaster entered the nightclub. Assuming that they were humans, the stylish man admired their fancy suits, asking Tracks if he'd gotten the outfit in Soho. When Tracks responded "Cybertron", the stylish man fished for an address, but Tracks walked away, distracted by the oddly-attired people he'd spotted. Auto-Bop
Notes
- His colors completely change between the time we see him at the bar and when he approaches Tracks. That's some powerful 80s hypercolor.
- Not only that, his voice changes as well!
- The stylish man wasn't seen later among the hypnotized patrons, so maybe he went looking for a clothing store.
- Seriously, that's the name he's credited as.
- David Wise's original script explicitly describes the stylish man's shirt as a "white t-shirt with the word 'RELAX' in bold black letters", making it a very intentional reference to a contemporary piece of merchandise for British band Frankie Goes to Hollywood", based on their 1983 hit song "Relax". (The real-life shirts actually said "FRANKIE SAY RELAX DON'T DO IT".) The animation makes the reference considerably less overt by changing the colors, dropping the bold text and adding a burst effect around the text.
