Laserbeak loves the real underground music, but can't stop the show when it needs him.

Synopsis

Ravage asks Laserbeak what kind of music he likes to listen to. Ever the hipster, Laserbeak claims he doesn't listen to music, but appreciates worthy music and the context from which it was created. To him, music should be private, not something you bring out to the unsophisticated masses. His rant it cut short when Soundwave tells him it's time to jam, transforming him into his new guitar and rocking out with his band, the Tape-Filled Idiots.

Transformers references

  • Laserbeak's new body is repurposed from the Knights of Unicron Laserbeak toy.
  • The name of Soundwave's band, Tape-Filled Idiots, is taken from Kid Stuff storybook When Continents Collide, where Megatron called Soundwave a "blundering, tape-filled idiot."
  • A sign for the show after the Tape Filled Idiots advertises Under-3 and Lionhead. Under-3 was one of the toys included with the original McDonald's Beast Wars toy, a simple robot that turned into a lion's head meant for toddlers. Lionhead was his Japanese name, and is depicted here as a blue Under-3.
