Meteorini Chipperoni is a chunk of unstable matter from the cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Meteorini Chipperoni is a meteor of unknown origin. It contains unstable energies unknown even to Autobot science. So naturally, it is okay to just shoot it with a laser rifle.

Chip Chase and his astronomer friend Jeff spotted the meteor but were unable to get a reading off it. Chip called in the Autobots and Spike Witwicky, who rushed to the location the meteor would hit: a ghost town in the middle of nowhere. Once it hit dirt, Optimus Prime blasted a chunk off it and left the three Dinobots to guard it. Megatron also had his eye on Meteorini Chipperoni, and he turned the Dinobots against the Autobots as part of his plan to secure it. The meteorite was spirited away by Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp. Back at Autobot Headquarters, Wheeljack determined from the sample that the meteorite was highly unstable and likely to explode.

The Decepticons filled energon cubes from the meteorite, despite Starscream's warning that the energy within appeared unstable. Sure enough, shortly after the Dinobots arrived with a bruised and battered Optimus Prime, the pile of energon cubes exploded violently. Two new Dinobots, Snarl and Swoop, arrived before any further action could be taken, and a brawl broke out. Grimlock fell near the now dangerously unstable meteorite. Notes

• The meteorite was never officially named in "War of the Dinobots"; "Meteorini Chipperoni" was something Spike came up with in passing. It's possible that Spike may have had pizza or some Italian meal earlier. Or he's just stupid.
