Maine is a state in the United States of America. The island of Griffin Rock is located off its coast.

Rescue Bots cartoon
The town of Griffin Rock is located on an island of the same name off the coast of Maine. This renders their constant references to "the mainland" only mildly amusing. The Rescue Bot Training Center is said to be on the mainland, so it is probably in Maine.
Rescue Bots Academy cartoon
Assuming the Training Center, now renamed to the Training Academy, was located in Maine, presumably so was the city of Milford as it was close to the Academy.
