Home to the Omega Guardians, Ki-Aleta was one of the first ports of call visited by the Knights of Cybertron when they undertook their galactic pilgrimage. Among their crew was the Cybertronian formerly known as Epistemus, who elected to stay behind with the organics so he could study alongside them. Overtime, Epistemus' quest for knowledge proved so great that he willingly did away with his body and became known as the "Magnificence." Historia
In the years prior to the Great War, Ki-Aleta had ties with Cybertron to the point that Senator Shockwave was on speaking terms with the Guardians. His contact led him to near-perfectly theorize the origins of the Magnificence. The Omega Guardians eventually ascended to the Higher Realms but left the Magnificence buried in the Omega Bunker guarded by fearsome drones named after themselves. The Ties That Bind
During the Great War, Hot Rod led a team of Autobots to Ki-Aleta in search of the Magnificence, and located it inside the Omega Bunker on the planet's surface. Spotlight: Hot Rod While the team was betrayed by Dealer, Hot Rod escaped with the Magnificence and hid it on top of a giant rock formation before leaving the planet. Many years later, he and Dealer returned to Ki-Aleta to retrieve the artifact. After using it to learn of Dealer's betrayal, Spotlight: Doubledealer Hot Rod then took the Magnificence off-world and had it sent to Garrus-9 for safekeeping. The Ties That Bind
Circa 2017, Kup glimpsed Rom's Energy Analyzer and noted that it reminded him of something he'd found on Ki-Aleta. Crisis Intervention
