Earth's core
From Transformers Wiki
Earth's core is a turmoil of superheated rock known as magma. It is potentially a source of immense power, provided it can be safely tapped. Accessing Earth's core can be a tricky prospect, however should you try, be very careful what you're getting into, as Earth's core might actually be Unicron, and he tends to get cranky if you drill into him.

The Transformers cartoon
A shaft of crystal in the Arctic led all the way to Earth's core. The Decepticons tapped it to turn Earth's heat into energon, causing temperatures worldwide to plummet. After a battle with the Autobots resulted in the Decepticons retreating, the crystal was buried. Fire in the Sky Another similar crystal shaft was located in Peru. The Decepticons used the energies from the Earth's core to power a laser cannon until the Autobots again foiled their plans. Fire on the Mountain Never ones to give up, the Decepticons constructed a massive drill in a cave and began drilling their way to the Earth's core. This plan was undone when an Autobot attempt to gain control of Devastator resulted in the giant damaging the drill, endangering Earth while the Decepticons were still on it. Devastator successfully stopped the drill before Earth was destroyed. The Core

Return to Cybertron: Part 1 The Autobots later successfully obtained a supply of Nucleon with which to save the planet. Return to Cybertron: Part 4
The Last Knight
In the distant past, the planet Earth formed around the inert body of Unicron who became the planet's very core. A NASA scientist explained that Earth's core created the magnetic field that protected the planet from solar winds and cosmic radiation. When Quintessa began draining the life from Unicron into Cybertron, the same scientist explained to his colleagues that Cybertron was using the geo-thermal energy from Earth's core to reignite its own and repair the damage to its surface. He warned that the core's temperature was rapidly dropping and if the core became too cold, the magnetic field would collapse altogether and all life on Earth would surely die. While the Autobots managed to prevent the core from being completely drained of energy, it was still a great deal cooler than it was before. The Last Knight

The Anti-Spark consequently rose from Earth's core to Earth's surface, but after Optimus Prime destroyed the fuser, the Anti-Spark flew back down through the hole it had come from. Battlegrounds, Part 2
The Decepticon Flamesnort was assigned to Earth during the war to guard a seismic-shock warhead hidden within an isle offshore England. When Bumblebee and Fixit arrived on the island, his attempts to fight them were hampered by his extreme old age and Energon deprivation, and, faced with Bumblebee's tale of an Autobot invasion fleet being two days away, chose to execute "Plan Omega"—the detonation of the warhead, to deny the island (and the planet) to the evil Autobots. The two Autobots arrived in his base just as the warhead powered up and began to hammer down Earth's core, where it would detonate and "crack the planet in half". Bumblebee was able to distract Flamesnort from his control console long enough for Fixit to remove the weapon's ignition key before the warhead could reach the Earth's core, deactivating the superweapon.
