Thanks her interuniversal Originator ancestry, Dia Cinders (ダイア・シンダーズ Daia Shindāzu) has been cursed by visions of future disasters. Unfortunately, people aren't prone to believing in foretellers, so Dia is required to resort to criminal activies to avert even worse outcomes.

Also unfortunately for Dia, the Autobots of the G1 World met Dia Cinders of a Diaclone/Waruder universe first, so this Dia gets stuck with a distinguishing nickname—"Mirror Dia" (鏡のダイア Kagami no Daia).

Japanese Generation 1 cartoon continuity

Dia Cinders was descended from an Originator a few generations back. Unaware of this heritage, Dia suffered from visions of tragic events to come. However, all she could see of her own end was that it would be the result of something big and blue. Following those visions, DK-2 Guard bio Dia Cinders leapt from human colony to human colony, committing an assortment of crimes, including fraud, theft, smuggling, and prison escapes—enough to build up a pile of records at the Interstellar Police Organization.

Upon meeting the merged Diaburnout of another universe, the Autobots attempted to find a duplicate of Dia in their world, coming across the records of who they referred to as "Mirror Dia" for convenience. They tracked her down to a private planet of Epsilon Ariadne, but they were too late to catch the fugitive in person. Despite finding the DNA needed to recreate Dia's body, Diaburnout continued her pursuit of Mirror Dia to Velocitron, not forgiving her duplicate for besmirching the Dia Cinders name. Diaburnout bio

Somehow manipulating the situation, Diaburnout managed to get Mirror Dia riding aboard in the Speedia 500 for the chance to become leader of Velocitron. In the race, the two scaled a steep cliff to create a shortcut for themselves. Velocitron Speedia 500 Part 1 The duo of Dia and Diaburnout would ultimately lose to former champion Override. Velocitron Speedia 500 Part 2 A second race was conducted, where Dia was ultimately arrested as she crossed the finish line. Velocitron Speedia 500 Part 3

At some point getting away from Diaburnout, Dia tussled with a bounty hunter on Earth before being rescued by DK-2 Guard, another interuniversal visitor who was unknowingly attracted to Dia due to her ancestry. DK-2 put out a call for help from other visitors from his home universe, and the wristwatch robot Autoceptor arrived, but forced the two others to await the Autobots to come and meet with them. Autoceptor clarified that the Autobots had changed their procedure towards "Mirror Dia"—Spin-Out and Tigertrack arrived to explain that they detected her alien or extradimensional heritage, and that her DNA was unusable for the other Dia. Further, they found that her crimes seemingly inadverently prevented greater disaster. With all this information, Autoceptor concluded that this Dia had to be a descendant of DK-2 Guard's masters, the Originators. DK-2 vowed to protect Dia. DK-2 Guard bio
