Dark Horse Comics
From Transformers Wiki
Dark Horse Comics is an American comic book publishing house founded in 1986 by Mike Richardson in Milwaukie, Oregon which started out as his own comic book store in said hometown, but due to the number of funds he received from his business operation, Richardson published two first titles, Dark Horse Presents and Boris the Bear within its first year. Since March 2022, it is currently owned by the Swedish video game company, Embracer Group.
It is best known for publishing original comic titles such as Hellboy, The Mask, Duckman, The American, Trekker, Black Cross, Usagi Yojimbo and two of Frank Miller's titles, Sin City and 300. Outside of their in-house titles, Dark Horse is also known for publishing comics based after licensed properties in the likes of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Alien, Predator, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Conan the Barbarian, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Terminator and Star Wars, prior to Marvel Comics re-assuming duties in 2015.
