Synopsis
Part 1
Beachcomber and Flak chase after the eagerly speeding Skids. Their teammate soon slows down, and the group spot an escape pod nearby, which they presume is one of the other bots who fled the Cyber-City fortress when it fell and came with it to their dimension. They attempt to open it normally, but find that the hatch is locked, so Skids uses Flak to blow it open. Out from the pod emerge three Mini-Cons: Armada Dirt Boss, Armada Downshift, Armada Mirage! Dirt Boss introduces the trio, and the Autobots do the same for themselves. Skids explains the current situation and asks for their help in finding the artefact Optimus told them about, at which point Mirage realizes they're talking about them.
Part 2
Back at the fortress, Laser Optimus confronts the Terrorcons. Armada Wheeljack threatens him, but the Earthforce leader refuses to attack, as he knows the the slightest damage to Cyber-City may destroy it and everything within, including the artefact Armada Megatron desires. He also warns the Terrorcons of their leader's inevitable betrayal once he gets his hands on the Skyboom. Megatron shuts him up and orders his troops to find the weapon for him, but before anyone can go, Skids, Beachcomber, and Flak arrive with the Mini-Cons in question and tell both sides of their neutrality. Megatron, realizing he now has nothing to lose, orders his men to kill them all.

Gameplay
This event was an individual totaliser on the Mayhem gamemode, meaning players unlocked points on their own as opposed to with their Alliance. As a Mayhem event, each battle was still won by destroying the HQ, but instead of the rest of the buildings and defenses being destroyed upon them doing so, they could continuing destroying the remaining structures until the 3-minute timer is up to gain additional points. The one caveat is that these bases cost a whopping 15 fuel cells to raid, compared to alternative, easier (but lower-rewarding) 5-fuel-cell-worth bases in the same zones.
Although the top prize was technically a single binary bond, the more important (and more advertised) one was a 5-star Skyboom Chip.
Notes
Continuity notes
- Armada Scavenger mentioned in story dialogue for "The Edge" that other Autobots and Decepticons had fled Cyber-City in escape pods when it went down, and that it was highly likely that some of them came with it into this universe.
Transformers references
- The Race Mini-Con Team's neutrality reflects the Mini-Cons' depiction in the Unicron Trilogy, where, although many of them paired up with the Autobots and Decepticons fighting over them, they weren't actually members of either faction and were often passed back and forth between groups (especially the teams that formed the three weapons that were so sought after in Armada).
- Breakdown Prime (and later Armada Megatron) mistakenly calls the Skyboom "a Skybound", referencing the company that currently holds the license for Transformers comic.
Trivia
