Exo-suits are transforming vehicles utilized by some Action Masters. Constructed using Magmatrynon alloy, each one has distinct armaments and capabilities.

  • Circuit's Supersonic Racing Car is able to turn on a dime thanks to its extendible wheelbase. An invisibility screen allows for close range covert operations. In exo-suit mode, its spring suspension enhances Circuit's agility. Offensively, it packs a decelerator cannon able to slow any enemy to a crawl, and a powerful Gatling machine gun.
  • Rumbler's exo-armour is massive, with ten inches of pure titanium protecting the operator from even repeated Decepticon photon blasts. Its rotating defence pounders allow it to smash through anything in its path.
  • Slicer's 4WD Assault Vehicle can traverse extremely rugged terrain. As armour, it is designed to instantly rend enemies with its rotating cutters.
  • Thundercracker's Solo Mission Jet Plane is able to withstand enormous G-forces, thanks to its flexible duraflex metal construction. It is able to fly at very high speeds, even when brushing by treetops at low altitudes. When transformed into its exo-suit configuration, its high-density construction makes it impervious to most armaments. In both modes, its primary weapon is a sonic boom blaster.

The Transformers

G1 Circuit toy.jpg
  • Circuit (Action Master Exo-suit, 1991)
The Supersonic Racing Car is a wheeled vehicle resembling a Formula 1 car that can transform into an exo-suit for any standard-sized Action Master, i.e. anyone but the Action Master Elites.
In exo-suit mode, it has a gun made of the front axel (which sits squarely in front of Circuit's crotch as phallic as you please), the barrel of which can be removed and replaced by any standardised first year Action Master gun, thanks to the post on the back of these guns. Too bad Circuit is a second year Action Master, none of which came with the guns in question. Due to standardised post-holing you can also plug an Action Master gun in above the head of whoever's riding in the exosuit, or use that hole to plug in the barrel from the exo-suit.
It was sold with Circuit, but isn't known for losing its paint like him. Mostly because it barely has any paint to begin with.

G1 Rumbler.jpg
  • Rumbler (Action Master Exo-suit, 1991)
The 4WD All-Terrain Vehicle is a four-wheeled vehicle that can transform into an exo-suit and was sold with Rumbler. It comes equipped with two pairs of flails, which can be awkwardly attached to the front wheels in either mode. Sadly, they cannot be attached to Rumbler's hands. In both modes, it is equipped with a battery-powered motor, which allows it to drive forwards in either exo-suit or vehicle mode thanks to two AA batteries (sold separately).
Unfortunately, the flails are cast in rubber and are thus known to harden, dry-rot, and eventually break over time. The rubber traction bands on the rear tires are also prone to the same sad fate.

G1 Slicer toy.jpg
  • Slicer (Action Master Exo-suit, 1991)
Sold with Slicer, the 4WD Assault Vehicle is identical to that of the concurrently-released Rumbler apart from the plastic colors and weaponry included. It uses a simple switch on the front (or top in suit mode) of the vehicle to make it roll either forwards or backwards. It is completely damned insane. It rolls incredibly fast and incredibly uncontrollably, and can do so in either exo-suit or assault vehicle modes.
For an added element of insanity it's possible to unfold the blades on its front wheels when in assault vehicle mode. This makes the thing's movements even more erratic and can allow Slicer to climb some obstacles that Rumbler can't.
The exo-suit also features articulated cannons which fold down in vehicle mode. (Or they're supposed to. No one ever did fold them down — even the wiki picture to the left doesn't have them folded down for vehicle mode. At least they're folded down in his instructions.)

"At least it hides my golden nipples."
  • Thundercracker (Action Master Exo-suit, 1991)
The Solo Mission Jet Plane is a jet that can transform into an exo-suit, sold with Action Master Thundercracker. In terms of weaponry, it comes with two unnamed missiles that attach under the wings along with a large "sonic boom blaster" that connects to the top of the jet, right under where Thundercracker kneels on the thing. In exo-suit mode, the missiles peg onto the top of the wings, while the sonic boom blaster becomes an absurdly large gun.
It's colored just as... interestingly as Thundercracker himself.

  • ??? (Action Master Exo-suit, Unreleased)

Jackpot definitely didn't skip leg day.
At BotCon 1996, a hard copy of an unproduced exo-Suit that could be transformed into a tank was on display. It is unknown what Action Master was supposed to go with it.
Your bargaining posture is highly dubious.

Proceed on your way to oblivion.

Shattered Glass Collection

For further information, see: Exo-Suit (SG)#Shattered Glass Collection
Released as part of the Shattered Glass Collection subline, Exo-Suit is a redeco of Generations Selects Black Roritchi, itself a retool of Earthrise Decepticon Fasttrack, packed alongside fellow Deluxe figure "Decepticon Slicer". Together, the duo is an extensive homage to the original Action Master Slicer and his own Exo-Suit.
As a Weaponizer-styled figure, Exo-Suit transforms via part-forming into a six-wheeled Cybertronian buggy-tank with twin blasters. His stock images show an "official" Weaponizer configuration with Slicer, attaching his torso and leg pieces to Slicer's right shoulder and feet respectively, and using his blasters as shoulder cannons. Like the previous versions of this mold, Exo-Suit's parts can also form a large spear weapon, though this mode is pictured minus its long handle. Slicer and Exo-Suit's official reveal during a Hasbro Pulse livestream had designer Mark Maher show off a buggy mode for Slicer to ride, based on the original Slicer's 4WD Assault Vehicle. Of course, the only limit to Exo-Suit's modes is your imagination.

Notes

  • The exo-suits, along with the Elite, are the earliest experiments with textured plastics in the line, a practice that wouldn't resurface until Transformers Animated and is widely used on Nerf products.
