Host Sophie Monk has been shocked every season about how things transpire. She told Daily Mail, “Someone might react to something differently to the way you expect, but that’s what makes the show cool. You might see someone’s audition tape and you think ‘gosh they’re tough or they’re like, ‘I’m not a girl’s girl,’ and then it ends up the absolute opposite.”

Amelia and Josh called it quits after being together for four years after they were on season 1. “Josh and I have decided to split,” Amelia’s message began. “This was the most heartbreaking and respectful breakup. After almost four years of being together we decided to go our separate ways.”

Tayla went on Instagram to announce that she and Grant, who won season 1, were no longer together. It was revealed that Grant had a secret girlfriend.

I hope everyone can understand that the last few days have been very emotional and overwhelming for me and that you can all respect my decision. I want to take the time to thank everyone who supported Grant and I during our Love Island journey and especially everyone who has continued to support us since.”

Margarita told Now To Love that the two will simply “remain friends.” “We never quite got to the point where we were thinking we were going to be a solid relationship but we definitely gave it a shot. That was the point of Love Island– to give something a shot that you wouldn’t normally on the outside,” she said before adding, “He’s a great guy but yeah, not romantically.”

Jessie and Todd called it quits on Instagram. “This isn’t easy to write and isn’t something I want to be confirming but sadly, yes the relationship between Todd and I is over,” she wrote on her account. “I’ve loved every minute spent with Todd from the moment he walked into that villa and absolutely adore him but I guess some things just aren’t meant to be.”

Cynthia and Aaron announced on Instagram that they were no longer together. “Throughout my entire Love Island experience, I stayed true to myself and meant everything I said and that’s all I could do. Life is weird and sometimes it’s hard to make sense of things,” Cynthia added in her caption.
Meanwhile Aaron wrote, “I was fortunate enough to meet a girl like Cynthia on there which allowed me to express myself, but when it’s all truly over and we all go back home you come to think about not just the present but also the future and honestly for a future perspective I truly feel like Cynthia and I are on different wavelengths. This is nothing against Cynthia as she’s a beautiful soul, however the dreams and aspirations she has are completely different to mine.”

Matt, blindsided by the situation, wrote something really similar. “Hi Guys! Anna and Josh called it quits shortly after they won. “It is with great sadness that Josh and I are going out separate ways,” Anna wrote in an Instagram story. “I know that so many of you are invested in our relationship but please know we did everything we could to make it work. Aaron added that they still had “issues seeing eye to eye on a situation in the villa. He told 9Now, “I wanted to move past it, and at least thought we could grow from it, but there was no real growth there, so I just felt like it was best to part ways.”

The two were in an exclusive relationship “Me and her are exclusive at the moment … I don’t want to see anyone else, and I just really want to see this through,” Taku confirmed to WHO. “We are trying to find our feet at the moment, but so far, so good.”

The couple got eliminated just before the finale and they confirmed that they split right after it aired. Courtney cited long distance as the reason for their split. “I just wanted to confirm, me and Courtney have decided to go our separate ways. I wish her nothing but the best,” Noah said on Instagram. “She’ll always be a huge part of my life and Love Island journey. I’ll always be there supporting her.”

Zoe and Chris broke it off a month after appearing on Love Island Australia.
“We have decided that it’s best we stay as friends rather than in a relationship, the two said in a joint statment. It’s been a long journey filled with nothing but happiness and love. But at the end of the day there’s more to a relationship than just having similar personalities or qualities.”
They continued, “We both expected to grow once outside the Villa, but unfortunately it’s just not how things turn out sometimes and life happens. We are very supportive of one another and there is absolutely no bad blood or spite between us. We just think it’s better to stay close as friends to maintain the amazing relationship we already have.”

After a tumultuous season, Mitch and Tina clarified that they tried to pursue each other, but ended up friends. “Tina and I are just friends and after everything we have experienced together, it is nice to be in each other’s lives in some capacity,” Mitch wrote in an Instagram story. Since then, we have even caught up and watched an episode or two together. I didn’t feel that right now tina could get my 110% and because of that, we made the mature and right decision to go our separate ways.
Tina verified that story in her own Instagram story. “Towards the end Mitch made it known he wasn’t in place where he could be a good partner in a relationship to which I agreed and told him I wouldn’t want to be in a relationship with how we was being either but we said we still wanted to see where things could go without any pressure.” She continued, “My toxic trait is holding onto things that aren’t good for me, so it was Mitch who made the decision to call things with us. It was disappointing but ultimately the best decision for both of us as it felt like history was repeating itself, I wasn’t getting what i need from a partner and I wouldn’t want to hold either of us back from living out lives.”

“I broke it off so then after that, went to her place and… look I’m not gonna lie like the drive from my house to her house was like probably like over 40 minutes and I remember on the way there I took a wrong turn and added like another like half an hour on to the trip. Phoebe and Mitch were fierce competitors to Austen and Claudia, and continued to show their lives post-Love Island villa. However, the two called it quits in July 2024 after two years of dating.

“As you can imagine, I have been a wreck and not in a good head space as of lately, so I’d really appreciate it if you guys don’t ask questions or make assumptions. As much as I wanted him to be my forever, we ended up wanting different things. Regardless of that though, I will always love him.”
Mitch confirmed the breakup on his own stories. “Unfortunately me and Phoebe have decided after two years that we would go our separate ways.”
“Never thought I’d be one to make a breakup post but I feel like it’s needed so we can focus on getting through this and moving on,” he continued. “Phoebe, we fell in love the day we met and from then on you showed what it’s like to be so bloody loved. you gave me an amazing two years and I can’t thank you enough for that.
