In am not talking in absolutes as to which party is the most corrupt, both are complicit in over reach. Tax breaks for corporations make us competitive in the world market, and companies make jobs. Allowing millions of unvetted migrants who need government, support, and who may or may not commit crimes, is also the actions of a king. It is unconstitutional and especially insane for a country in debt. Joe Biden and Obama never supported open borders until they did. Our country has been in decline long before Trump came into office, and will continue to decline after him no matter what he is able to accomplish or what he does not. Teaching kids to hate their own country, that the US is a country founded on slavery (when slavery still exists in this world and always has) ) that all evil actions in the Middle east are the result of the US or Israel is false and wicked. As my mother who lived through Hitlers bombs once said, they are using our tolerance and freedoms against us. What I see is every Tom, Dick and Harriet wants a piece of the American pie, and what better way to get it than to demonize the country as unworthy and hand it over to those who are no more worthy. Too many unassimilated people have come into this country who do not want to be a part of our constitutional Republic. Rome found out the hard way.
Our low point was 2008. 2024 looks like our high point thanks to Biden’s leadership and thankfully Trump is following Biden’s lead on foreign policy. But these Republicans in Congress are just reheating Bush’s failed domestic policies. Look forward to increased deficits with 2.5% GDP growth…just another own goal like 2003.
I wish I could share your sentiments about foreign policy, but I just don't see the Europeans as the allies they once were. Unabated mass migration into Europe has reached destructive proportions and there has been massive protests. Lets just say they are accustomed to cars burning in certain western European cities. I don't think either party has helped the deficit, but I am certainly not defending Republicans.
Clinton achieved a surplus and Obama had the deficit ratio at 3% by 2014. Kamala would have had 3% by 2026. Bush could have had a surplus all 8 years but chose deficits and Trump inherited 3% from Obama and had it at 4.5% in 2019 before exploding it in 2020. Democrats are better at managing the economy than Republicans since 1990.
I don't think either party has done very well with our money or our freedoms. Obama sent the former Shahs' money to Iran to fatten the Mullahs, 2020 was the year of the pandemic when spending ballooned and freedom died, especially with the mandates that followed under Biden. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Clinton was more bipartisan for sure, but things were not so crazy then and people had more common sense.
Trump increased the deficit before the pandemic. You are getting lost in the weeds…I know Bessent is married to another dude (remember you voted for Bush in 2004 because you feared gay men and Muslims) but he is correct about 3-3-3. Obama achieved it more or less and Trump squandered it before Covid. I’m sure a dude with hairy smelly balls winning a girls cross country race will take precedence in 2028 so why even bother with all of this??
No, I didn't vote for George Bush, but I did live in San Francisco with 3 gay black men, a communal house with all ages colors and creeds, and Gum Moon Chinese residence in China Town. I also studied religions, and I don't care for religious fundamentalism because it often treats women and those who believe differently poorly, if not violently. Pogroms anymone? I don't like pro pro pro lifers either who make judgements like there is no tomorrow, and I don't see peace when I see a woman covered in a black shroud. Most people wouldn't even cover a dog in a black shroud. Liberals used to champion human rights, now they bow to the altar of cultural relativism.
