Hey![]

How are things going over at originaltrilogy.com? :) Adamwankenobi 18:52, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

NEGC images[]

I notice you've added images from the New Essential Guide to Characters, but they appear to be from another source (different background, LFL logo). Are they available online anywhere? Thanks. - Kwenn 19:30, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I've took those pics on the official website of Mike Sutfin, the illustrator of The New Essential Guide to Characters. As I said on the talk page of the NEGTC gallery, this site is flash, so, the pictures are not so easily "extractable" (sorry for my english). If you don't know how to take 'em, ask me and I'll explain you how. ;) Kaal-Jhyy

  • Thanks for the link. Nice pictures - Kwenn 19:48, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Don't talk to indefinitely blocked users[]

They're mostly in it for attention. Revert, wait for the admins to block them, then ignore them. —Silly Dan (talk) 14:04, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

  • Ok, no problem. -- Kaal 12:46, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Tagging images[]

Please stop tagging images. You are abusing a feature that frankly shouldn't be there to begin with. For example: Tagging a Luke Skywalker image to the Luke Skywalker article is rediculous and completely pointless when the image description already says who it is and links to it already. Thank you. - JMAS 17:47, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

  • I'd like to countermand JMAS's request and applaud you for tagging images...I know it's boring work, but it helps improve the Wiki. Thanks. :) —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 18:15, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
    • I rescind the request. I didn't realize that it automatically put the image into a gallery that way. Though I do wish the border of the tagging square on the image was less obtrusive. - JMAS 18:36, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, I assure you that I've done tags mainly for the galleries. I find it's a really usefull tool for guys like me who are often looking for good reference photos, but are often stopped by a very limited search engine. And by the way, I don't have seen it yet, but how can we search for galleries of tagged images? Kaal 19:33, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Unfortunately, you can't search for galleries of tagged images quite yet due to the fact that it's a brand new feature being tested out on Wikia wiki's...there are new features being added to it currently though to make it better. Whether or not searching is one of these features I don't know, but you could try to find somewhere to ask on wikia.com. :) —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 19:54, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the answer ;) Kaal 22:34, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

Groff Haug's species[]

In case you didn't see it on Groff Haug's talk page, I posted the source that identified Groff Haug as a Gran. Should I revert the article to reflect this? --Jango Fett107(Comlink) 14:30, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Yes, I've seen it, but still wonder. It's possible that the Bounty Hunter guide's info is a mistake. As I said in the talk page of the article, the picture is really showing Groff cause it's present in the cutscene where Montross talks about him. And on this pic, Groff really doesn't look like a gran... But I don't have the guide, is there a picture of Groff in it? If not, I think we should leave his species unknown, but if you want to, you could write a "Behind the Scenes" part explaining that the guide says he's a gran, while his look contradicts that. I don't know, what do you think? And maybe we could see that with Leland Chee. Kaal 18:04, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
    • Unfortunately, I don't own a scanner, so I can't scan in the image. However, I think a Behind the Scenes mention that the Strategy Guide depicts Haug as a Gran would suffice. You can feel free to modify it whenever you like. --Jango Fett107(Comlink) 15:09, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
  • I've been able to have the pic from the guide, I'm actually writing the BtS mention ;) Kaal 15:11, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Please provide source for this image[]

I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide a source, or at least tell me so I may do it, for this image. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/File:Wampa_Echo_Base.jpg. Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir 06:28, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

  • Well, to be honest... I have no idea, sorry. I've found it time ago, on a website (and I don't remember wich one). I just know that it's an art by Hugh Fleming, who has made some comics covers and illustrations for the Insider. I don't think it's a comic cover, so it could be useful to check the Insider issues. ;) Kaal 13:38, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Where did you got this from? http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/File:Kotorfullboxart.jpg Alexrd 19:59, October 18, 2011 (UTC)

Sourcing files[]

The higher resolution and wide-view shot of this file: File:Jawa fortress.jpg is not from any of the sources listed. If you upload a higher quality version of an image, you must also update the source where it was obtained from. Thank you. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 23:49, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

You're right. It is now done, the source was Star Wars Art: Ralph McQuarrie. — CaptainViggo (talk) 22:01, 6 March 2024 (UTC)

Super Star Wars[]

Hey there! I saw that you posted a couple of asset images from Super Star Wars. I was wondering how you managed to get these assets, did you datamine the game or was there another way for you to obtain the images, in high quality no less. Cheers! Bonzane10 11:30, 12 February 2025 (UTC)

I've used clean sprites that you can find on many game sprite sites (like The Spriters Resource). I've then erased the background colour and upscaled the sprites in Photoshop with an integer factor and the "nearest-neighbor" option to be sure to keep the image's original pixels and without any blurring. CaptainViggo (talk) 18:42, 12 February 2025 (UTC)

  • Ahh.. didnt know of that resource website. Appreciate it! Bonzane10 04:20, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
