A human[2] stormtrooper of the Galactic Empire was active on the planet Tatooine until eventually falling into the sarlacc of the Great Pit of Carkoon.[3] In 4 ABY,[1] the bounty hunter Boba Fett fell into the pit and later used the oxygen tubes within the trooper's helmet to supply himself long enough to escape from the belly of the sarlacc, which he ultimately did.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

The stormtrooper appears as a corpse in the first episode of the 2021 Disney+ television series Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett, serving as a means of explaining how Fett escaped his fate from the 1983 film Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.[3]
