The SubLight Acceleration Motor, also known as the SLAM,[1] was an overdrive system that rerouted a sublight engine's energy for acceleration bursts. The SRB42 engines of the Millennium Falcon, a heavily customized YT-1300f light freighter, were equipped with one such device.[2]
