Opening crawl[]

THE HUTT RUN
It is a time of turmoil for the galaxy. While the evil
Galactic Empire remains strong, the Rebel Alliance
continues to fight for freedom.

Legendary smuggler and all-around scoundrel Han Solo was
roped into the Rebellion after a simple charter trip taken
to pay off his debt to notorious crime lord, Jabba the
Hutt, turned into rescuing the Rebellion leader, Princess
Leia, from the Death Star.

Since then, Han Solo and his Wookiee co-pilot, Chewbacca,
have performed odd jobs and miraculous feats alike in
order to keep their friends alive and the Rebellion
running–usually to the chagrin of everyone involved....

Plot summary[]

Mon Mothma tells Han Solo that he is the Rebel Alliance's only hope. She explains that they need him to smuggle something to the far side of the galaxy, past Imperial patrols.

When he asks what the cargo is, she gestures to a restrained Grakkus the Hutt. She explains that Alliance forces recently intercepted his prison transport vessel, freeing him from Imperial custody. She believes Grakkus could be a valuable asset because he has a hidden safe house with enough weapons and supplies to support an entire army.

Mothma tells Han that it will be his mission to get Grakkus to talk. She explains that they've established a new secret holding facility in the catacombs of Akiva, and they need Han to get Grakkus there, past the Imperials who are scouring the galaxy for him. She calls Han the "greatest smuggler in the galaxy."

During the flight, Grakkus attempts to convince Han that he understands him in a way the Rebels never will.

Soon after, a pair of TIE fighters warns the Millennium Falcon to prepare to be boarded. Grakkus continues to taunt Han, saying he is a prisoner of the Rebellion, as his true nature is to answer to no one. He adds that he can make all of Han's issues with Jabba the Hutt disappear.

Han surrenders and is ordered to land on the closest asteroid. He tells Grakkus that he is about to give him up.

As Grakkus exits the Falcon, a group of waiting stormtroopers discuss that they just found the missing Hutt. Despite being restrained, Grakkus kills one of the troopers, and Chewbacca shoots the others.

Grakkus attacks Han, knocking his blaster away and choking him. Chewbacca appears with his bowcaster and warns Grakkus to drop Han. Grakkus tells Chewbacca to set a course for Teth or he will kill Han.

Suddenly, Grakkus is electrocuted. Han explains that while Grakkus was sleeping, he had the guards add a stun feature to his leg restraints. Han tells him that Grakkus is going to prison while the Rebels raid his secret safe house on Teth. He adds that all Hutts are "arrogant as hell."

Meanwhile, on a Star Destroyer, a group of stormtroopers is hunting for R2-D2, who has already defeated many troopers.
