Repulsorcarts or hovercarts were a type of repulsorlift vehicle used around the the galaxy to carry cargo.

Repulsorcarts also referred to as hovercarts were a repulsorlift vehicle used to transport cargo.[1] They could be pulled by animals or piloted by a droid.[2]

History[]

A Hovercart on Utapau

During the High Republic Era, when the Blythe family of Elphrona was kidnapped by Nihil pirates, the destruction of the pirates' landspeeder in the initial attack forced them to steal the Blythes' repulsorcart and five steelees as transportation. Two of the creatures were employed to pull the cart.[1]

During the Clone Wars, Sugi arms dealers used hovercarts on Utapau, and Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi stole one to transport a massive Kyber crystal across the planet's plains.[3]

During the Gorse Conflict, The former Jedi Padawan Kanan Jarrus used a hovercart to unload a shipment of baradium-357 from his freighter Expedient on the moon Cynda . He used the same hovercart to evacuate the wounded miner Yelkin after discovering an illegal test bomb in Zone Forty-Two. Using his Force powers, Kanan managed to push Yelkin to safety on the hovercart and cushioned the hovercart's landing. Later, Kanan and his rebel companions Hera Syndulla, Skelly, and Zaluna Myder used a hovercraft to travel through Count Denetrius Vidian's headquarters, the Calcoraan Depot, to reach his personal quarters.[4]

By 3 ABY,[5] repulsor carts were used around the the Outer Rim including on the desert planet Tatooine and the savanna moon Toshara.[6] In 9 ABY,[7] Major Mok Shaiz's majordomo fled from the crime lord Boba Fett in landspeeder through the streets of Tatooine's city Mos Espa. During the chase, the majordomo knocked over a repulsorcart being drawn by an astromech droid.[2]
