Between around 8 BBY and 2 BBY,[4] the crew of Khel Tanna, as well as the bounty hunter Greedo and the criminal Corbus Tyra, recovered the Millennium Falcon from an Imperial Impound Facility on[3] the planet[5] Iakar. The Falcon, which had captured by the Galactic Empire after it[3] had been in possession of Tyra on Mollo Tanka.[6] Tyra had previously attempted to get back the ship, where Tyra had stored an urn that contained the ashes of Krestrel D'Naran, an archrival of Jabba Desilijic Tiure, but was instead taken into custody by the Benelex Marshal Service. Tyra was later extracted by Tanna and her crew, the smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca, and Greedo, though Chewbacca was captured, and Solo was shot by Greedo[1] and later dumped onto the planet Escalan.[7]
Afterwards, Tanna's crew made plans with Greedo and Tyra to recover the Falcon and the urn. Tyra and the bounty hunter T'onga went undercover as Imperial officers in the facility on Iakar, whilst Tanna, Akko, and Ooris Bynar hid in a smuggling compartment as Tanna's ship was captured by the Galactic Empire and taken to the impound facility. Greedo then arrived at the facility in an attempt to reclam the Falcon and caused enough of a ruckus to the point he was ordered to be escorted out of the facility by a stormtrooper. At that moment, Greedo caused an explosion which caused the officer to panic. T'onga used the ordeal to lockdown the facility and discover where the Falcon was being held, and passed on the location, Impound Paddock XM139, to Tanna and Bynar.[3]
The pair then went to the paddock, where they found the Millennium Falcon, but also learned it was in a docking clamp. Bynar then set about removing the clamp, but the two were attacked by stormtroopers. Eventually the Thisspiasian was able to remove the clamp, and Tanna called in Akko to use her ship to attack the stormtroopers, which he did, allowing Tanna and Bynar to make their escape from the facility with the Falcon. As the two ships left the impound facility, TIE fighters approached them, and Tanna told Akko to pick up the others as she and Bynar held off the TIE's. Following this they made their way to a rendezvous point, and Tyra learned that the urn had been taken from the Millennium Falcon.[3]
