Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi piloted a red Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor during the Clone Wars, periodically flying with R4-P17 as his astromech droid co-pilot.
In 20 BBY,[6] it was extensively damaged by Confederacy fire during the Battle of Sullust, the Jedi and droid escaping unscathed only with R2-D2's deployment of his built-in fire extinguisher.[3]
History[]
Battle of Christophsis[]
Obi-Wan Kenobi briefly flew his Delta-7B in the space battle above Christophsis. Alongside his apprentice Anakin Skywalker, who flew in his own Delta-7B, the two fought the remnants of the Separatist blockade surrounding the planet, consisting of Lucrehulk-class battleships and Munificent-class star frigates.[4]
Battle of Teth[]
Following his victory at Christophsis, Kenobi was instructed by Master Yoda to make an audience with Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine, to assure him that the Jedi would find and return his kidnapped son Rotta. Kenobi flew to Tatooine in his Delta-7B and landed outside Jabba's palace. A group of Jawas became interested in the starfighter, but R4-P17 zapped them with her electro-shock prod, forcing them to flee.[4]

After negotiating with Jabba, Kenobi returned to his Venator-class star destroyer and headed for Teth, to aid Skywalker and his new apprentice Ahsoka Tano in recovering the huttlet. Upon arriving at the planet, Kenobi joined Clone Commander Odd Ball and Clone Flight Squad Seven in the aerial assault. During the battle, Odd Ball was tailed by vulture droids and was unable to shake them off, however, Kenobi came to his aid and destroyed them. Odd Ball apologized for panicking, but Kenobi remarked that it can happen to anyone. He would leave the battle and land in the monastery's courtyard to support Captain Rex and find Skywalker.[4]
Mission to Rodia[]
When Cad Bane escaped with a Jedi holocron and a memory crystal containing a list of every force-sensitive child in the galaxy, the Jedi council determined that the infamous bounty hunter would kidnap the child Wee Dunn on Rodia. Kenobi was sent to the planet in his Delta-7B to find the child before Bane arrived. While his ship was being refuelled by a PLNK-series power droid, Kenobi raced to the Dunn home. He was ultimately unsuccessful in stopping Bane.[5]
Mission to Mandalore[]
Kenobi flew in his Delta-7B to the planet Mandalore to meet with Duchess Satine Kryze regarding a recent Death Watch terrorist attack on a Republic cruiser.[7]
Battle of Sullust[]
During the Battle of Sullust, Kenobi and Skywalker flew in their Delta-7Bs. Assaj Ventress joined the battle in her Ginivex-class fanblade starfighter and pursued Kenobi, damaging his starfighter. Kenobi and Ventress crashed in the hangar of the Separatist flagship and his starfighter caught fire. Skywalker landed next to him and R2-D2 deployed his fire-extinguisher to put out the fire. After duelling Ventress, Kenobi and Skywalker left the flagship to its destruction.[3]
Sometime before the Destruction of the Separatist supply storage base, Kenobi ceased to use his Delta-7B and switched to an Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor.[8]
Crew[]
The starfighter was piloted by Obi-Wan Kenobi, who also functioned as its captain. Kenobi's astromech droid R4-P17 functioned as the ship's navigator and repairer should it get damaged in combat.[4]
