Plot summary[]

"So here's the thing: I wired all the containers on board with remote-controlled Thermal Detonators. Anything happens to me, I trigger the remote."
―Phaedra, to Aurra Sing, Bane Malar, and Zam Wesell[3]

On Malastare, criminal mastermind Phaedra is being pursued by bounty hunter Jango Fett. Phaedra calls out to Fett, who has been hired by Jabba the Hutt, offering to pay him three times as much as the crime lord, as long as the bounty hunter helps her with a favour. Meanwhile, on Coruscant, Jedi Master Shaak Ti and Qui-Gon Jinn meet with an Intergalactic Banking Clan Minister at the Galactic Bank of Coruscant. They discuss the recent robbery of ten thousand IBC Credits from Senator Beka, however, the stole funds had been illegally holding the funds for Jabba the Hutt. In space, Phaedra is pursued by several bounty hunters to claim the bounty on her head and retrieve the credits stolen from the crime lord.

Back at the Galactic Bank of Coruscant, the two Jedi Masters review security footage, seeing a unique ship lingering outside the bank before the robbery and the appearance of a rare Quaraxian. With the unique style of ship, the Jedi can track her down and find the stolen credits. On Nar Shaddaa, The bounty hunters pursuing Phaedra agree to join together and split the reward three ways. The two Jedi arrive to search for the criminal, Qui-Gon sense Corlis Rath watching them from a rooftop, but unrelated to the mission at hand, they push forward. The bounty hunters catch up with Phaedra, she explains that she has rigged the credits with thermal detonators and if she is killed, the explosives would be triggered. Aurra Sing explains that Jabba wishes to make an example of the criminal, but the mastermind has left a trail for the Jedi to follow and save her from the bounty hunters. With both parties distracted, Phaedra returns to her ship and begins her escape, with the bounty hunters in quick pursuit. The bounty hunters chase her into space and destroy the ship.

On Ord Mantell, Phaedra has survived and meets with the Jedi. She explains she switched her ship for a decoy ship and got her droid Arjee-Entoo to lure the hunters away. Although the Jedi can't arrest Paedra, they take the credits she stole and leave her in the hands of Marshal Buck Vancto, taking her into custardy. While in custordy, Jango Fett breaks her out and escape the Benelex Marshal. Back on Malastare, Phaedra receives a large payout of credits from a race and gives ten percent to the bounty hunter, having used the original credits she stole, she placed significant bets allowing her to return the original amount to the Banking Clan and keep a significant sum for herself.
