Plot summary[]

A Jedi on the run[]

The story opens with the Grand Inquisitor hunting for Tensu Run, a Jedi who gained fame and inspired hope by rescuing prisoners from a secret Imperial facility. The Grand Inquisitor and his forces have been tracking the Jedi but have only found civilians who refused to betray him.

Vader's growing impatience[]

The Grand Inquisitor reports his lack of progress to Darth Vader, who is unimpressed and believes the task is too large for the Grand Inquisitor alone. Vader emphasizes that Tensu Run is more than just a Jedi; he has become a symbol of hope that must be extinguished. To accelerate the hunt, Vader dispatches the rest of the Inquisitors to aid in the search.

Tensions within the Inquisitorius[]

The issue highlights the strained dynamic between the Grand Inquisitor and Darth Vader. Though the Grand Inquisitor leads the Inquisitorius, he lives in fear of Vader's punishment for failure.

A new mission[]

The Grand Inquisitor, having failed to capture Tensu Run directly, decides on a new strategy. He hunts down and executes Run's former master, hoping to weaken his resolve.

Tensu Run's resolution[]

At the end of the issue, Tensu Run learns of his master's death. Realizing he can no longer stay on the defensive, he decides to turn the tables and begin hunting the Inquisitors himself.
