A Fleet Commander,[2] or a fleet group commander,[1] was a position given to an officer.[2] During the Clone Wars, Captain Wilhuff Tarkin served as the fleet commander of Jedi General Even Piell's fleet group.[1] During the Galactic Civil War, Hellip served as a fleet commander and took over local operations following General Hera Syndulla's battle with the loyalist forces of the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing.[2] A Mandalorian of the Mandalorian resistance was a captain and held the position of fleet commander for the Mandalorian fleet.[3]
