Diffuse-Ion accelerator

A diffuse-Ion accelerator was a component that could be installed in a speeder bike to increase its top speed while boosting. Adding a diffuse-Ion accelerator to a S57 Cardinal speeder bike cost 1000 credits and required fifteen units of slivian iron, and eight direct-energy circuits.^[1]

During 3 ABY^[2] the scoundrel Kay Vess paid for the services of a speeder mechanic to upgrade her speeder bike with a diffuse-Ion accelerator and eventually with a ion hyper accelerator, providing the necessary parts.^[1]
