An actuating diffuser module was an blaster component that destabilized energy particles, causing blaster bolts to explode on impact.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] it was illegal to own a diffuser module in the Galactic Empire. However, Rodian scavenger Namda Eaakee came into possession of one of the modules.[1]
In 3 ABY,[2] the scoundrel Kay Vess traded with Eaakee for the module in exchange for ten direct-energy circuits. She later used it to the modify her VM-19 heavy blaster pistol's plasma module.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Actuating diffuser modules appeared as an upgrade item in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The player must obtain the trigger in order upgrade their blaser's heavy plasma module to level four.[1]
