Contributing to the Community team / events
- I organise events in Switzerland
- I helped revive some Meetup groups in Switzerland, France (reactivation program)
- I was a co-organiser for WordCamp Europe 2025 (Local team) and 2024 (Volunteer team)
- I work with the GatherPress team, for community engagement and to help the transition from Meetup for our local events
- I’m an event-supporter (previously called “mentor”) for 1 to 3 WordCamps a year
- I’m often volunteer, speaker, and/or microsponsor at WordCamp events when I’m not a co-organiser
- I was a mentor and facilitator in the cohorts 2 (Feb-March 2024) and 3 (Oct-Nov 2024) of the Contribution Mentorship program, and I’m currently planning cohort 4 with other people.
- I act as a “bridge person” (see below) between local (Switzerland/France) and global teams, and between other topics/groups among the community
Acting as “a bridge”
This means participating into meetings at the global level and bring back the topics to my local communities (Switzerland/France) and get information, questions, feedback from the local communities and bring back to the global level, including leadership.
The Sustainabiliy team and DEIB group are currently “on hold” but the topics are still addressed, work done and and there is hope for reopening. For the WordPress project to be sustainable, the topics are addressed in the Five for the Future group and into programs to find and help new contributors
- take part in meetings and discussions
- focus on the social sustainability in connection with the Five for the Future initiative
- bring back the topics of social and environmental sustainability and DEIB to the local Swiss community (Meetup and upcoming events)
- collect feedback and talk with global teams and/or leadership
Sponsorship and time
I contribute between 40 to 80 hours a month (10 to 20 hours a week), depending on current events. I’m sponsored for 20 hours a month by Themeisle ❤️. I’m looking for a second sponsor for 20 hours a month (5 hours a week). I self-sponsor the remaining hours.
As I won’t be an organiser for WordCamp Europe 2026, I will probably contribute about 60 hours a month (15/week) and not 80 anymore.
Following an issue with US IRS W-8 form and tax reasons in my country, I cannot accept a sponsor incorporated in the USA anymore, and have to close my GitHub sponsor page. I welcome sponsors from any other country.
More information can be found on the Sponsor me and WordPress pages on my website.
