  • I need to try it first, if I can install it. Then I can comment.

Update : HP , Teclast F7 plus 3, Chuwi , onda A1 Oliver book machten mir echt viele Probleme!
  • Amazing system! I've always been a fan of Linux systems that look and feel like Windows, and I found the ideal solution for what I've always been looking for in LinuxFx/Winux. It has the Debian/Ubuntu standard (LTS security and ease of use of .deb packages) and a pre-installed and configured "Windows theme". Congratulations to the developers for this interesting project, and I hope Winux has a long life!

  • Easy to install via USB using Rufus. Looks and feels like Windows. Very stable. If you want the look of Windows with the security of Linux, this is a great choice. It also has Wine installed, so you can use Windows .exe-type programs.

  • To burn WinUX to DVD, one must use a DUAL-LAYER DVD blank which has 8Gb capacity, and the DVD writer must have dual-layer write capability. These dual-layer disks are sometimes (and becoming) hard to find, as flash drives of 32Gb and above capacity are about the same price as a few of these disks. Looking to download and test drive WinUX myself....

The Winux project is a possible alternative for Windows-plagued users who want to switch from W10/11 to Linux but don't want to or can't do without the W layout. @sourceforge.net The download latency is extremely slow at approx. 1.5 - 2 MiB/s. • dalincerguy & the Winux Team. It would help to let people know that the ISO can be prepared using a flash-drive. You have only given advice on burning to a DVD - which doesn't work because the ISO is too big to fit. Please provide instructions for people to use Flash drive installers like Rufus (Windows only ) or BalenaEtcher - (Mac - Linux - Windows)

  • Will not fit on DVD... I have attempted 2x to burn the .iso to a DVD. My DVDs are listed at 4.7GB capacity. I enabled "overburn" to hopefully squeeze out more space -- first attempts failed to burn as "too much space required" Can you figure out how to get the size down to 4.5 GB?

  • The development team thanks you for your support. This operating system was developed to rescue devices that will no longer be compatible with Windows, reducing the impact on the environment. It was also created for users who like the security and versatility of Linux, but do not give up on an easy and intuitive interface.
