Hello, I have created a config for the Edifier RC10G remote, which controls the Edifier R1700BT (Version 2017) Bookshelf Speakers. The directory containing the remote config and picture is attached (edifier-rc10g.tar). I also attached my completed checklist (edifier-rc10g-checklist.txt), which shows all my verification work according to your documentation. Could you please send me a confirmation once this config is added to the remotes database? Thank you very much. Regards, goodsoftworx |

I got some ir code files from a program called IrScrutinizer I found it buggy but really useful for creating usable files to send ir commands to my devices. What I really liked was it was using a format Protocol,D,S,F not sure what each of them stood for The first 3 fields Protocol, D and S on most remotes was the same or nearly the same Making it easy to try other ir signals to see if I could find more functionality. I have a whole range of channels now for the hulu ir codes I copied the first 3 fields and tried 1-255 in the last to get a bunch of them Not knowing what they would be I just tried them all and labeled them as I figured them out. I found on my Denon Receiver that it created a raw file. I tried irrceord to convert it and irrecord gave no errors however when I tried the converted file the codes no longer worked as they did with the raw file. Maybe there was an error that irrecord made? I would like to help by offering my lirc files but not sure the proper way to do so. I am also working on a web page interface for lirc that will be easily customisable. The ones I found are very difficult to setup I'm tring to make one that a user can point and click to setup with minimal effort. I use netcat with bash to send ircodes via irsend and with list commands I gather all the remotes and ircodes irsend understands |

Dear all, please find attached the config and photo for my TV remote. 'irrecord' wouldn't work for me, so I created the config manually. Unfortunately, some buttons are a bit worn off (in particular PLAY and PAUSE in the bottom row) -- I should really have taken the photo when the remote was new ... Best regards, Thomas Betker |

Hi Attached is my lircd.conf for JVC RM-RXUT100 remote and a small JPEG of it. I have tried to keep to the standards described at https://sourceforge.net/p/lirc-remotes/wiki/Checklist/ This remote is very similar to several JVC devices for which configs already exist, and in particular to the RM-RXUT200R. However, at least for my use-cases, my config is more reliable; I think it is also more correct, in that 1 and 0 are the way round the official JVC spec describes, although the timing is faster. I hope this is useful. If you would prefer it as a pull/merge request on SourceForge, let me know. Cheers Duncan |

I've got this box from Swedish Bredbandsbolaget (firmware 4.6.1.telenor.33_161206_1056). They only have the RF version of the remote but IR works as well (36kHz). Logitech remotes have it in the list and it works. I got some codes from an old preprogrammed multi remote, but it was missing some important keys like "OK". I read it out with an audio in connected IR detector with a 3V button cell built from plans found on lirc pages, then built a transmitter for the COM-port. I got some life but had to build the most complicated version fed with USB voltage to make it work reasonably. Still a disappointment, not at all like any cheap remote. Tuning the frequency didn't help much either. Sat for hours 1,5m from the Arris box with the laptop in my knee and tried every logical combination of codes that could be derived from the other codes. I got a reaction on some codes but nothing with functionality except a few ones that were doubles. I bought an IR remote from a competitor (Telia), they use the same box. It worked pretty well, it's missing EPG, three buttons had changed places compared to titles (info, text, menu), the REC button doesn't work nor the CH+ and CH- nor TV/Text but I do get LED flash on the box for all these non working ones. I swapped the button caps on "menu" and "info" , then rewired the traces between "info" and "text" and got a much correct working controller apart from REC and CH-buttons. I could now add missing codes to my programmable controller: OK, play/pause, rew, ffw, mute, the four color buttons and power. So I've got an almost complete set apart from the EPG and REC - for €9. EPG can be reached from menu though. The RF remote has two types of exit-buttons, one that says exit and one that's a bent arrow - they work the same as far as I can tell. There's a search button but the search function is usually mapped to the yellow button anyway. It also has buttons for their play-service and film-service but these are also mapped on color buttons and can be reached through the menu. The last two missing buttons are the skip forward and backwards buttons, the jump 5min in a recording so you kan skip commercials - the time can be changed in "settings" 1,2,5 or 10min. Question is if someone has the Logitech multi and can share codes for my missing buttons or perhaps the black Arris IR remote that looks the same as the RF version? Then I could use lirc to program my multi. I'd love an Android app of lirc where you could take a photo of your remote and then map functions to where you touch the remote image. Swipe up and down if remote is zoomed in, swipe left or right to swap controller. IR interface with battery cell hooked to the audio. I know there are similar apps, haven't seen one with these functions (yet). I'll read out my current button set and compare it to the database... See if there's the same codes and spend some more hours with the laptop. Best Swedish Regards, Fredric. |

Hi, i converted and added codes for the Logitech Z906 Soundsystem, found by Zibri . http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14120 Herzliche Grüße Markus Mark Watney: At some point, everything's gonna go south on you... everything's going to go south and you're going to say, this is it. This is how I end. Now you can either accept that, or you can get to work. That's all it is. You just begin. You do the math. You solve one problem... and you solve the next one... and then the next. And If you solve enough problems, you get to come home. All right, questions? |

-------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: LIRC config file for Philips MCi-500h Date: Thu, 16 Feb 2017 20:03:51 +0100 From: Phyks <ph...@ph...> To: li...@ba... Hi, I've just came across Lirc which is a really wonderful tool, thanks a lot for it! I could not find my own remote (picture attached as well as the config file) in the available remotes, so I tried to create a file. Here it is, in case it can be merged upstream. My remote is for a Philips MCi-500h jukebox. I experienced some troubles while creating the config file (and this is the very first such config file I create): * I had to create some new labels for keys that I could not find in the pre-existing Lirc namespaces. Not sure if this is the right way to do :/ Such keys are : MP3CD, HD, MARK, VIEW, SMARTEQ, RDS, SAME_GENRE, SAME_ARTIST, MUSIC_BROADCAST, MUSIC_FOLLOWS_ME, UNDERSCORE, INTERROGATION_MARK, EXCLAMATION_MARK, AROBASE, DASH, COLON. * I am not sure about the right way to handle short vs long press. Typically, some of the features are available only with long presses on buttons (labels above the button). I registered them the same way for now. Also, the alphabetic keyboard is actually a T9 keyboard (and KEY_A, is rather a KEY_ABC), but I did not know how to handle it nicely in Lirc. * I was not sure about KEY_PREVIOUS/KEY_NEXT vs KEY_PREVIOUSSONG/KEY_NEXTSONG, I used the first ones. Please, feel free to let me know about any mistake I may have made, I will fix it if you want to merge it in the available remotes database. Thanks! -- Phyks |
