Jmol/JSmol is a molecular viewer for 3D chemical structures that runs in four independent modes: an HTML5-only web application utilizing jQuery, a Java applet, a stand-alone Java program (Jmol.jar), and a "headless" server-side component (JmolData.jar). With wavesurfer.js you can create anything from an HTML5 audio player to a sophisticated DJ application. wavesurfer.js works only in modern browsers supporting Web Audio. It will fallback to Audio Element without graphics in other browsers (IE 11 and lower). You can also try wavesurfer.swf which is a Flash-based fallback. The audio will start playing as you press play. A thin line will be displayed until the whole audio file is downloaded and decoded to draw the waveform. Web Audio needs the whole file to decode it in the browser. city-roads is a data visualization and mapping project that renders street networks of cities as vector paths, offering an interactive, zoomable experience that highlights how cities are stitched together by their road infrastructure. Alpha Plot can generate different types of 2D and 3D plots (such as line, scatter, bar, pie, and surface plots) from data that is either imported from ASCII files, entered by hand, or calculated using formulas. The data is held in spreadsheets which are referred to as tables with column-based data (typically X and Y values for 2D plots) or matrices (for 3D plots). The spreadsheets as well as graphs and note windows are gathered in a project and can be organized using folders. QUAST
Quality Assessment Tool for Genome Assemblies
QUAST performs fast and convenient quality evaluation and comparison of genome assemblies. It is maintained by the Gurevich lab at HIPS (https://helmholtz-hips.de/en/hmsb). For the most up-to-date description, please visit http://quast.sf.net. Below are just some highlights. QUAST computes several well-known metrics, including contig accuracy, the number of genes discovered, N50, and others, as well as introducing new ones, like NA50 (see details in the paper and manual). A comprehensive analysis results in summary tables (in plain text, tab-separated, and LaTeX formats) and colorful plots. The tool also produces web-based reports condensing all information in one easy-to-navigate file. QUAST and its three follow-up papers (MetaQUAST, Icarus, QUAST-LG) papers were published in Bioinformatics; the last paper (WebQUAST) is out in Nucl Acid Research. -

Observable Plot
A concise API for exploratory data visualization
Observable Plot is a free, open-source JavaScript library to help you quickly visualize tabular data. It has a concise and (hopefully) memorable API to foster fluency — and plenty of examples to learn from and copy-paste. In the spirit of show don’t tell, below is a scatterplot of the height and weight of Olympic athletes (sourced from Matt Riggott), constructed using a dot mark. We assign columns of data (such as weight) to visual properties (such as the dot’s x), and Plot infers the rest. You can configure much more, if needed, but Plot’s goal is to help you get a meaningful visualization quickly. Plot employs a layered grammar of graphics inspired by Vega-Lite, ggplot2, Wilkinson’s Grammar of Graphics, and Bertin’s Semiology of Graphics. Plot rejects a chart typology in favor of marks, scales, and transforms. Plot can be readily extended in JavaScript, whether to define a channel, a transform, or even a custom mark.
