Integrated Renewable
Energy Control Solution
efinnos
Increases the renewable energy ratio with solar power generation and
storage battery control, and improves environmental value and economic performance.
Features of Renewable Energy Control Utilizing Power Generation Prediction and Storage Batteries
Murata Manufacturing believes control is important to effectively use solar power. We utilize storage batteries to control power generation based on power generation prediction and power consumption prediction. This enables the effective use and utilization of renewable energy.
Feature 01 Optimized Power Control with Storage Batteries
efinnos maximizes the utilization of valuable renewable energy by employing AI to efficiently store surplus power generated during the day in storage batteries. This stored energy can then be discharged as needed, ensuring optimal energy management.
Feature 02 Reducing Peak Power Consumption Through Power Prediction
efinnos effectively lowers contract power and reduces electricity bills by utilizing AI to forecast peak power consumption times. By predicting when demand will be highest, it discharges energy from storage batteries precisely at those moments, optimizing energy usage and cost savings.
Examples of Murata Manufacturing's Promotion of Renewable Energy
Murata Manufacturing's own plants are rolling out self-consumption-type solar power + storage battery + control systems.
Kanazu Murata Manufacturing's Clean Energy Park
The Murata Manufacturing Group has introduced Hokuriku's largest solar power and storage battery system in Kanazu Murata Manufacturing in the Fukui Prefecture. This is serving as an attempt to ensure that 100% of the power we use comes from renewable energy. As a result, due to the control effect from the integrated renewable energy control solution, efinnos, we were able to ensure that 100% of the power used at the location in November 2021 came from renewable energy.

Murata Manufacturing joined RE100* in December 2020.
This is an international initiative aiming to ensure that 100% of the power used in business activities comes from renewable energy.
In 2024, we moved our projected timeline of achieving 100% renewable energy use forward by 15 years, from FY2050 to FY2035*.
To achieve this goal, we have installed large solar panels and storage battery units and are gradually introducing the integrated renewable energy control solution efinnos at our business sites inside and outside of Japan. This solution is our proprietary technology that enables real-time optimization for the use of renewable energy power generation.
*RE100: This is an international initiative aiming to ensure that 100% of the energy consumed in business activities is procured from renewable energy.
