AI-generated erotic art is a form of Artificial intelligence visual art made to cause sexual arousal or pleasure. A very controversial form of it is deepfake pornography which creates images of real people, often without their consent.[1] Many forms of AI-generated erotic art are done with fictional characters or original characters.

AI generated hentai has an advantage in training because many hentai websites have very descriptive tagging.[2][3]

Famous victims

Famous people have become subjects of deepfake pornography. These include Scarlett Johansson, Taylor Swift, and Maisie Williams.[4]

Difference to deepfake pornography

[change | change source]

Note that AI generated erotic art is fundamentally different from deepfake pornography. In the first case, the idea is that the AI creates a new image, that will be erotic. While the image may look like a real photo in the end, it has been completely generated.[5] There is no real person that looks like the person in the image. With deepfake pornography, the idea is different: Usually, there is a real image that is used, and that is changed in certain ways, for example to make a person look nude. In this case, the person shown really exists. That way, AI is used to exchange the face of an image (against that of a known person), to undress people, or otherwise change the scene.[6][7]

The possibility to create such images has also been criticized.[8]
