Jealous of your kids always having fun at camp? Now it’s your turn!
MOSI is offering a fun, hands-on experience for guests ages 18 and over. Enjoy light appetizers, beer and wine samplings and the MOSI exhibits while you participate in hands-on science, technology, engineering, art and math fun! Explore your inner child with mind-blowing science adventures ranging from robotics and liquid nitrogen ice cream to astronomy and chemical reactions. Discover the wonders of the cosmos in the NEW Saunders Planetarium and so much more! This night is all about fun for the adults!

You've mined for diamonds, traded emeralds, and built a portal to a whole new realm ... now it's time to put those skills you've learned along the way to the test in MOSI's Minecraft Mania! Play and learn while tackling individual, small group, and full-team challenges that build your computer skills as you work on perfecting your strategies, enchanting your armor, or even learn some basic coding as you defend your city from an alien attack!

Check-in will take place inside the museum, at the tables near the entrance and gift shop. Children registered for Minecraft Mania will also receive general admission to the museum for no additional cost.

Due to the space constraints of the computer lab, parents are not permitted to attend this program. Parents may drop off their participants and return for pick-up at 3pm or are welcome to purchase their own general admission ($20 per adult) and visit the museum during the program.

Join MOSI astronomers for our recurring evening stargazing event, SkyWatch! This event features telescope viewing under the stars as well as space themed demos. Chat with one of our expert astronomers as they bring the galaxy into view with telescopes set up from the ground level of our outdoor Science Park, all the way up to the top of the MOSI Dome.

Registration is required as space is limited.

Experience MOSI’s Sensory Saturday, created in partnership with the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities (C.A.R.D.) at the University of South Florida. We designed this event to welcome individuals with sensory differences and their families to explore and connect in a supportive, engaging environment.

Your ticket to Sensory Saturday also includes access to MOSI during standard hours beginning at 10:00 AM.

Step into the mind of Leonardo da Vinci in this immersive, hands-on family workshop designed for one adult and one child. Inspired by our da Vinci exhibit, participants will explore how curiosity, observation, and creativity drive invention. Working together, families will build and test a working catapult, engineer a balloon-powered car racer, and brainstorm, sketch, and prototype an original invention of their own.

Throughout the two-hour experience, families will experiment, problem-solve, and iterate just like da Vinci—discovering that art, science, and engineering are all connected. No prior experience needed—just bring your imagination and a willingness to tinker, test, and create together. After the workshop, families will have access to explore the da Vinci exhibit and continue their discovery.

  • Each team must consist of at least 1 adult and 1 child, maximum of 3 people per team
  • Registration is required at least 2 weeks in advance
  • Children must be at least 7 years old to attend

Join us at the Museum of Science and Industry’s Science Park for a two-hour telescope tutoring session.

Bring your own telescope and learn how to set it up, align it, and explore the night sky like a pro. Our space experts will guide you through the basics, helping you unlock the wonders of astronomy from your own backyard.

  • Ages 10 +: Any participant under the age of 18 must attend with a registered adult
  • Registration is required at least 2 weeks in advance
  • BYOT – Bring your own telescope

For safety of all campers, parents will drop off their child and paperwork in the circle drive area in front of the Whitney Andrews Lang Center for Learning located on the east side of the MOSI Campus. Easy access is available from the school entrance gate on 50th Street. MOSI staff will get children to their correct camp area in the morning.

Creep, crawl, buzz, and flutter your way into the amazing world of insects! In this fun-filled weeklong camp, young scientists will explore the fascinating lives of bugs through hands-on experiments, games, and creative activities. Campers will discover how ants build their colonies, how butterflies transform, how bees help our world, and why
beetles are nature’s tiny superheroes. Each day brings new opportunities to observe insects up close, design bug-inspired creations, and even try out engineering challenges inspired by the incredible skills of bugs. With plenty of outdoor exploration, science investigations, and buggy crafts, campers will gain a new appreciation for the tiny creatures that play a big role in our world. This camp is the perfect blend of science and fun for curious kids who love to explore!

Celebrate Spring Break with five days of hands-on science fun! Campers will mix up colorful rainbow slime, build a working paper wind turbine and anemometer, and experiment with the natural pigments in red flowers. We’ll get creative with galaxy art and then put engineering skills to the test by designing and landing a safe lunar lander. Join us for a week full of color, creativity, and STEM adventures!

A hurricane is headed towards the Tampa Bay area and you are setting up a shelter at MOSI! Learn how to prepare for and survive a natural disaster, as you spend the night at a mock hurricane shelter.This overnight camp-in includes the Emergency Preparedness merit badge workshop, a light snack, sleeping at MOSI, a cold breakfast, and general admission to MOSI after the program. Please be prompt to ensure a smooth check-in and participation in all the fun activities! All scout participants will receive a MOSI Fun Patch.
