What if tomorrow’s buildings were made from yesterday’s steel? 🏗️♻️ Swedish company Stena Stål turns demolition waste into the building blocks of the future, using reused high-quality steel to shape everything from energy parks to central train stations. Here’s how it works: Steel from dismantled buildings is tested, quality-assured, and recertified before being used in new construction projects. The process can cut CO₂ emissions by up to 98% compared to new steel. It’s a powerful example of what happens when Swedish innovation, engineering, and circular thinking work together – building a future where nothing goes to waste. That’s how you pioneer the possible! From scrap to skyline, join Sweden in shaping what’s next.💚 Photo: Jens Lindström/Scandinav/imagebank.sweden.se

Healthtech companies Neko Health and Kry (Livi) are innovating in preventive care and digital health, with Neko Health providing advanced full-body scans to detect early health risks. Polarium is advancing energy storage with its advanced battery solutions. Einride is changing freight transport with electric, autonomous trucks and AI-driven logistics solutions. The Swedish unicorns are driving innovation across finance, mobility, AI, digital health and energy storage. Sweden’s booming ecosystem is creating thousands of exciting opportunities for tech talent from around the world, making it a place where you can build your career while shaping the future. Every day, billions of meals are thrown away around the world. In Sweden, the message is clear: the best solution for the climate is to prevent food waste. The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency points out that it’s ten times better for the climate to eat food that’s still edible than to turn it into biogas or fertiliser. To make this happen, we need new ways of working: smarter routines, cross-sector collaboration, and everyday innovation. One great example can be found in Swedish school kitchens. Since all children in Sweden are served school meals, these kitchens have become powerful examples of how smart solutions can make a real difference for the environment. 🍝 To reduce food waste, schools across Sweden now use the Gothenburg Model for Reduced Food Waste. From purchasing and menu planning to reporting and even creating new dishes from leftovers, such as baking bread from leftover porridge or making crisps from potato peels. The Gothenburg Model shows how workplaces, schools, and communities can work together to create real change. 💪
