The Most Important Command

We all have more or less the same needs and desires. We’re one. But as it turns, each of us is faced with a different path, and each of those paths contains experiences that can disturb us, our soul, and our ability to love.

We then risk becoming zombies, running around in loops like cars on a roundabout, endlessly chasing the next carrot.

I think one of our main goals in life is to continuously find our way back to who we really are: loving beings.

A friend recently joked about having to use the term “human-centric”, when just a few years ago everything was human-centric 🙂 With AI entering more areas of our lives, that joke feels more true every day.

Christ gives us a simple command:

John 15:14: You are my friends if you do what I command.

John 15:17: This is my command: Love each other.

John 15:18: If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.

In this new era, I think it’s more important than ever to become aware of these loops, go beyond our needs and desires, and transcend them through love.

Writing your fourth program with Budge-TP

(Live demo on Spacefast: https://budge.space.fast/)

In the previous blog posts (first, second, third), we wrote every theorem by hand. Recall how many steps it took to show that 1+1=2 with Peano’s axioms. This does not scale.

In this blog post, we will show how Budge-TP can write proofs for us.

The Practice of the Presence of God

I recently caught Before the Flood randomly on Nat Geo TV. I saw DiCaprio’s interview with Pope Francis, which then led me to Pope Leo‘s Wiki entry, and I found that this book was a great influence on him, so I read it over the weekend (available for free here).

In this blog post, I’ll share a few paragraphs that I found touching or resonating.

Attention, not agents: What actually drains us

At Automattic, each quarter we run HACK week: a week where we step away from our usual work and spend time exploring something new.

For this HACK week, I decided to focus on something that’s been circling in my mind and that I’ve also noticed among my coworkers:

What happens to my understanding and mental energy when I run multiple AI agents?

In this blog post, I’ll share what I found.

Simply Love

A song
from simpler times,
when many were running toward the same thing
the thing that mattered most.

And today?
Today, many don’t really know
what they’re running after.

Confusion and pride
seem to rule the day.
