Welcome to the Milwaukee Recruiting Battalion!  The Milwaukee Battalion serves as the headquarters for 39 recruiting stations overseen by: four Wisconsin-based recruiting companies (Milwaukee, Madison, Appleton and Fort McCoy), one Michigan-based recruiting company (Iron Mountain), and one Illinois-based recruiting company (Loves Park).

Dec. 1, 2025 - Safe, deliberate, and controlled marksmanship instruction remains one of the most valuable tools for preparing Soldiers for the rigors of Basic Training. Engagement Skills Trainer (EST), military-grade computer simulators that use replica weapons to mirror real-world firing conditions, allow trainees to practice safely while developing confidence, accuracy, and the muscle memory needed before stepping onto a live firing range.

Former Airborne Infantryman now Trauma Surgeon
Nov. 24, 2025 - Nearly 24 years after raising his right hand for the very first time, Christopher D. Barrett—who once jumped from aircraft as an Airborne Infantryman in the 82nd Airborne Division—took the Oath of Commission as a United States Army Major. His original enlistment on 10 October 2001 set him on a path he could never have imagined, including a deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and an honorable discharge in 2005.
