Dec. 1, 2025 - Safe, deliberate, and controlled marksmanship instruction remains one of the most valuable tools for preparing Soldiers for the rigors of Basic Training. Engagement Skills Trainer (EST), military-grade computer simulators that use replica weapons to mirror real-world firing conditions, allow trainees to practice safely while developing confidence, accuracy, and the muscle memory needed before stepping onto a live firing range.
