We define Real Estate Professionals as licensed individuals who help buyers and sellers navigate real estate transactions and who own an individual ID in one or more Multiple Listing Service systems.
Our study utilized MLS data to calculate and rank real estate professionals based on their performance. The MLS data provided a comprehensive dataset encompassing property listings, sales and agent information.
To assess an individual's performance, a set of four key performance indicators was established and weighted: revenue, sales volume, price performance and success rate.
Professionals recognized include Ken Adams from Ken Adam Real Estate Team Keller Williams in Clarksville, Laura Baugh from Onward Real Estate – Cool Springs Office in Franklin and Gary Ashton from The Ashton Real Estate Group of Re/Max Advantage in Nashville.

METHODOLOGY
For the first time, Newsweek and Statista are awarding "Tennessee's Top Real Estate Professionals" - licensed individuals who help buyers and sellers navigate real estate transactions.
This study leverages Multiple Listing Service (MLS) data to rank real estate professionals based on their calculated performance. The MLS data provides a comprehensive dataset encompassing property listings, sales, and agent information for a given state.
To ensure data accuracy and consistency, rigorous data cleaning and preprocessing steps were undertaken. Only Sales reported into MLS systems are included.
To assess the individual's performance, a set of four key performance indicators (KPIs) was established and weighted:
1. Revenue (30%): Total revenue in residential sales from 2021 to 2024
2. Sales Volume (30%): Total sales volume from 2021 to 2024
3. Price Performance (25%): Median price of objects sold from 2021 to 2024 & price ratio sale price to listing price
4. Success Rate (15%): Median days on the market before sale
Based on being above or below the median score of the top 150 list, professionals gain a five- or four-star rating and are sorted alphabetically within their star scoring group on the list.
