America’s Greatest Workplaces for Gen Z 2025

The transition from student to professional can be both exhilarating and overwhelming. The excitement of landing a first job is often met with the reality of navigating unfamiliar expectations, learning new skills and proving oneself in a fast-paced environment. For many young professionals, a career isn’t just about earning a paycheck, it’s about growth, purpose and finding a company that values their potential. As the workforce continues to evolve, with an emphasis on flexibility, career development and company culture, Gen Z is stepping in not just to participate but to reshape the future of the workplace.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that job openings have consistently outpaced the number of applicants since 2021, putting job seekers in a position of strength. However, not all workplaces offer the same level of support for early-career employees. Thankfully, there are many organizations across the U.S. where Gen Z professionals can truly blossom.

To spotlight organizations leading the way, Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group are proud to present America’s Greatest Workplaces for Gen Z 2025.

This list identifies employers across the U.S. excelling in areas that matter most to young professionals: belonging and community, sustainability and awareness, compensation and benefits, training and career progression, work-life-balance, working environment, company image, mental wellbeing, job security and corporate culture.

The research behind this list includes an assessment of publicly accessible data, discussions and interviews with HR professionals and large-scale confidential online surveys conducted among Gen Z employees from U.S. companies.

Companies recognized include Adobe, Bain & Company, Health Catalyst, JP Morgan Chase, REeBroker and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital..

We hope this ranking serves as a valuable guide for young professionals seeking workplaces where they will be supported and inspired as they build their careers.
