Notes

YEAR

The distribution of waste quantities between the recycling and backfilling processes has been changed for 2022 due to the upgraded reports. Backfilling also includes all amounts of waste that have been processed into materials and usable for backfilling. In previous years, these were counted among recycling.

WASTE

Separately collected municipal waste

Data have been revised from 2020 onwards due to a change in methodology. According to the new methodology, waste with the numbers 20 01 99, 20 03 01, 20 03 02, 20 03 03, and 20 03 99 are not included in the separately collected municipal waste.

Waste incineration - use as fuel

Data on the amounts of waste recovered by incineration for energy purposes have been revised for the reference years 2022 and 2023 as a result of the methodology amendment based on the upgraded reports. The total amount of waste recovery has remained the same, only the distribution by individual recovery operations has changed (incineration for energy purposes, pre-treatment).
