Now you have come to the page, Choose variable. This page give you the oportunity to select which variables and values you want to display in your result of the table. A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.

Notes

The published data refer to the selected set of indicators that was prepared in line with the international recommendations of a special group of statisticians operating under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), which prepared 44 climate change-related indicators. The indicators focus on environmental, social and economic areas and are grouped into five areas related to climate change for ease of review and interpretation:
- drivers: indicators show human causes of climate change that deal with sources of emissions;
- emissions: indicators show greenhouse gas emissions and their human causes;
- impacts: indicators show impacts of climate change on human and natural systems;
- mitigation: indicators show people's efforts to mitigate the consequences of climate change;
- adaptations: indicators show adaptation of people to the consequences of climate change.
The Statistical Office prepared an experimental set of 21 indicators for Slovenia based on the current availability of data, the development of the indicator and its methodological framework.

INDICATOR

Total greenhouse gas emissions from the national economy (kt CO2 eq)

The indicator total greenhouse gas emissions from the national economy measures total greenhouse gas emissions from all residents of a national economy. Residents can be persons, groups of persons in the form of households, and legal or social entities, such as corporations, non-profit institutions, or government units. Residents belong to the national economy where they have their centre of predominant economic interest. It is expressed in kilotonnes of CO2 equivalent (kt CO2 eq).
Data for the entire time series have been revised.

Total greenhouse gas emissions (excluding LULUCF) from the national territory (kt CO2 eq)

The indicator represents total greenhouse gas emissions from the national territory without emissions from land use, land use-change and forestry (LULUCF). It is expressed in kilotonnes of CO2 equivalent (kt CO2 eq).
Data for the entire time series have been revised.

CO2 emissions from fuel combustion attributable to the national economy (kt CO2 eq)

The indicator represents total energy use-related CO2 emissions from fuel combustion by all residents of a country. Residents can be persons, groups of persons in the form of households, and legal or social entities, such as corporations, non-profit institutions, or government units. Residents belong to the national economy where they have their centre of predominant economic interest. Emissions from non-energy use of fuels, fugitive emissions, and industrial process emissions are excluded. It is expressed in kilotonnes of CO2 equivalent (kt CO2 eq).
Data for the entire time series have been revised.

CO2 emissions from fuel combustion within the national territory (kt CO2 eq)

The indicator represents CO2 emissions from all reported energy use of fuels in the national territory. It excludes emissions from non-energy use of fuels, fugitive emissions, and industrial process emissions. It is expressed in kilotonnes of CO2 equivalent (kt CO2 eq).
Data for the entire time series have been revised.

Greenhouse gas emissions from land use, land use change and forestry (LULUCF) (kt CO2 eq)

The indicator represents greenhouse gas emissions and removals produced in land use, land use change and forestry, as defined by the relevant IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories. It is expressed in kilotonnes of CO2 equivalent (kt CO2 eq).
Data for the entire time series have been revised.

Total greenhouse gas emissions from production activities (kt CO2 eq)

The indicator represents total greenhouse gas emissions from production activities of industries, including services, of a national economy. Production activities of industries should be defined consistently with national accounts. It is expressed in kilotonnes of CO2 equivalent (kt CO2 eq).
Data for the entire time series have been revised.

Greenhouse gas emission intensity of production activities (kt CO2 eq/million EUR)

The indicator represents total greenhouse gas emissions from production activities of industries, including services, of a national economy per unit of real gross domestic product (real GDP (adjusted for inflation, by means of constant prices or chain-linked prices). It is expressed in kilotonnes of CO2 equivalent per million euros in constant prices. (kt CO2 eq/million EUR).
Data for the entire time series have been revised.

Direct greenhouse gas emissions from households (kt CO2 eq)

The indicator represents greenhouse gas emissions from households consumption activities that directly cause emissions: fuel use for transport, heating, cooking, and other purposes; other activities such as the use of solvents. It is expressed in kilotonnes of CO2 equivalent (kt CO2 eq).
Data for the entire time series have been revised.
