Notes

CRIMINAL OFFENCE

Up to and including 2016 criminal offences are classified according to individual penal codes.
If the code starts with 1, the criminal offence is classified according to the Penal Code KZ-UPB1, which was used until 2008. If the code starts with 4, the criminal offence is classified according to the Penal Code KZ-1, which was used between 2008 and 2012. If the code starts with 5, the criminal offence is classified according to the Penal Code KZ-1B, which is being used from 2012 on. Codes 2 and 3 refer to old Penal Codes that are no longer being used.
We suggest using the search engine (in the “Search” box at the variable CRIMINAL OFFENCE enter the desired search string).
Example:
If you wish to get data on “causing traffic accident through negligence” according to all Penal Codes, select codes 1.XXXI.323, 4.XXXI.323, 5.XXXI.323, etc.
From 2017 on all amendments to the Criminal Code (KZ-1) are published under code 4.
