Jose Varghese (@josevarghese) – WordPress user profile

Bio

I’m Jose Varghese from Kochi, Kerala – a state in southern India known for its stunning beaches and picturesque hill stations.

I have created multiple digital products, ranging from web applications to mobile apps, and have helped startups and corporations build strong online presences. I am also a former co-founder and co-creator of the SuperPWA plugin, which helped websites turn into PWAs in a minute.

My expertise lies in WordPress product development, PWA (Progressive Web Apps), SEO, digital marketing, web design, and development. On weekends, I enjoy exploring cutting-edge web APIs that enhance the web’s capabilities, traveling, and trying new cuisines in my city and beyond.

Additionally, I am an active co-organizer, speaker, and volunteer for WordPress Kochi/Kerala and WordCamp Kochi/Kerala, contributing to the local and global WordPress communities.

Interests

Music, photography, movies, traveling, designing websites, gardening, marketing, listening to podcasts, and a cup of hot tea!

WordPress Origin Story

I started my WordPress journey in 2010 at college by building the Computer Science Department’s (association) website. Once I installed Yoast while working on it, I became a great fan and started using WordPress and learning SEO from that day onward. I love exploring and updating my knowledge on the web every day.

With a keen passion, I always try to learn something new and love building things that fascinate me and help people even in a small way.

WordCamps in Kerala / Kochi:
1) WordCamp Kochi 2017 as an attendee
2) WordCamp Kochi 2018 as a speaker
3) WordCamp Kochi 2019 as a co-organizer
4) WordCamp Kerala 2023 as a co-organizer
5) WordCamp Kerala 2024 as a co-organizer
